10/10 really cannot recommend enough.
Given that the plot includes sex workers, I thought that there might be some funny parts, but that there would also be darkness and tragedy… This is laugh out loud almost the entire movie.
There are special treats for New Yorkers: This is shot all throughout Brighton Beach in iconic locations. I hope they win a ton of awards. They deserve it.

These women are beautiful, proud, resourceful, and smart. I absolutely loved this documentary. It did have a lot of weight to it, but it wasn’t entirely tragic. It felt like an accurate representation of what it looks like to be a woman seeking agency when you've been given none. I would definitely recommend this movie.

Really hard to watch, but I felt like I needed a romcom and this is what Netflix was serving. None of the actors are comedic, so none of the jokes really landed. The acting is forced. The only bit that worked was the few reoccurring references to drug use while the male lead was working at Goldman Sachs.
