Wow. Wow, wow, wow! This was… something. Something special. I’m honestly shocked, almost speechless. This is pure-heartedly the first time I’ve ever seriously considered leaving the cinema before a film ended. And this was one of my most anticipated films of the year! Especially after just discovering one of my all time favorites, Bram Stoker’s Dracula, which was directed by none other than the man in question, Francis Ford Coppola.

“Longlegs” is a film I’ve been hyped about for what feels like forever. Those teaser trailers? Absolutely phenomenal. They hooked me right in and made this one of my most anticipated films of the year. So when I finally got the chance to see it, I was pumped. But damn, it pains me to say I walked out of the theater with this lingering feeling that something was missing.

Some of the humor here was a bit hit or miss for me, and a few of the creative choices didn’t completely land either. I wouldn’t say they were too weird, being weird is kind of the whole charm of this film, but like the humor, it just felt a bit hit or miss at times.
That said, I absolutely loved the family dynamic. The relationship between the father and daughter especially really stood out. Such a beautiful arc that brought a lot of heart to the story.
At the end of the day, it’s a super wholesome and adorable film.

Wow, where do I even begin? Having watched the original Mad Max trilogy twice and “Fury Road” at least five times, I’ve developed a deep appreciation and love for the Mad Max universe. It’s like a “Tales of the Wasteland” series that brilliantly crafts its own mythology, something I find incredibly fascinating. The way this franchise has been developed allows for creativity and madness to truly flourish.
