Had me in tears through a lot of the middle section. At a certain point the joke — failed production and inexperience is being transformed into the point of the film; a comedy of reduced resources but best intentions aka D-Movie glory — wears a little thin and some of the targets get worn out, but this mostly succeeds by going for pure ego-death and leaving even the most unflattering shots in there, going so far as to even make them the point of the whole exercise.
