One of the most effective modern war movies I’ve seen. I’ve seen criticisms that this is lazy war propaganda but I didn’t get that at all. It felt extremely unbiased and genuinely focused on the horrors every group goes through in war. The “lack of plot” is effective too because it further validates how meaningless everyone being put through this situations is.
The strong ensemble, makeup and sound design really make you feel the immense trauma of the situation.

Always enjoyed Coogler’s films, but Sinners really made me look back at his filmography and realize how impressively consistent he’s been in of quality. I love how Coogler and Peele are taking such a bold lead on POC-led genre films and giving so many incredible opportunities to POC actors and crew. Coogler in particular is so good with crafting compelling female characters.

It's remarkable how the creative team of Guadagnino, Kuritzkes, Mukdeeprom and Reznor & Ross, created such vastly different movies this year between Challengers & Queer. I instantly fell in love with Challengers, but I’ve needed a few days to let my thoughts permeate about Queer.
