Not only is this movie SO much better than the first one, but I actually understood what was happening, and it was awesome!

With that said, this movie still has a few problems. It still lacks any emotional impact, and it’s still kinda confusing at times, but compared to the first one, it’s a massive improvement.

One of my biggest problems with this movie is, why does Paul want to become emperor? He completely swaps personalities when he commands the Fremen. But speaking of Fremen, they were actually IN this movie! The Fremen barely showed up in the first one, but now they’re the main focus. And the Harkonnen actually pose a threat!

Another issue I have is that it never shows how they get off the sandworms! It shows them getting on and riding them through the sand, but then it just cuts to the next scene! HOW THE HELL DO THEY GET OFF THOSE THINGS?

Overall, this is a great movie. I don’t think it’s a masterpiece like many other people do, but it’s a huge improvement compared to the first one. 8/10.
