The fear of time looms over us all. We still have time for this, we don't have time for that. Our actions can be ones we come to regret later on but in the moment didn't mean much. The friends we make early on, while appreciating their company, keep the relationship initially distant but once they're gone, you come to realize that you really didn't get the chance to know them and that chance will forever never come. A certain talent you pick up on that you keep on putting on hold in further developing until one day, you wonder what would have happened if you had continued honing in on those skills of yours.

The thing is though, the concept of there being enough time and there being no time doesn't exactly exist. There's always room to evolve. Yes, our time on this earth will inevitably come to an end and it's scary to think about, but we can't let that fear grab a hold on you forever, otherwise we struggle to act.

There's still time. Time to travel around the globe. Time for new bonds to form. Time to find love. Time to forgive ourselves. Time to cherish each moment we breath on this earth. Time to discover. Time goes on. It never stops. Why should you?

I won't let you down.

Ethan Hunt. The manifestation of Destiny. A legend. Selfless to a fault, never willing to sacrifice his own even if for the greater good, while simultaneously being his greatest strength. His undying loyalty, his comion, are what motivates him to face the most insurmountable obstacles that no ordinary man could ever achieve.

But he's not alone. By being who he is, Ethan has made many allies, who too recognize his strong sense of altruism. The pain he willingly puts himself through, and are inspired to do the same.

People like Solomon Lane, who take lives with little to no care about them, are people Ethan Hunt despises the most. How can one individual be so cruel and not value the lives of others? The antithesis to everything Ethan stands for, doing everything in their power to destroy the man's values but try as they might, there's no stopping Ethan Hunt. For as he always prevails.

Oh yeah, the movie's a fucking masterpiece as well.

Listen, despite myself never really watching a ton of Netflix originals because I just know I'm going to find them forgettable, but on some occasion they can release a hidden gem and the Lost Bullet trilogy is among those hidden gems.

Vehicular action that with each preceding film ups the ante but never to the point of comical absurdity. This isn't the fast and furious. But there's no denying how impressive how all of the car action here is pracitcal, allowing us to truly revel in their glory when knowing we're actually seeing car go boom!

And when it comes to the hand to hand combat, i like how non flashy they are. It's frantic, there isn't any coordination to it, in the sense that each action a character does is on the spot and using their environment to their advantage.

ittedly, the stories across each film are rather generic and familiar and while the characters are just likeable enough, they aren't the most interesting bunch.

Will say this 3rd entry concludes this series on a rather high note. Even while leaving the door open for potential new stories, if this were to be last we see of this verse, then that's fine by me.

It's for a movie.

My first foray into French cinema being a Netflix - released F&F esque thriller... we all gotta start somewhere.

Jokes aside, this was neat! Loved the practical stunts involving the cars colliding into one another that was oddly satisfying to me. Probably has to do with how I was obsessed with watching car crash videos at one point.

Sorta been getting back into schlocky B movies with shit like David Ayer's Statham ts and this. Films that while kinda forgettable nevertheless have an enjoyability to them that make them endearing to watch.

More could've been done in fleshing out the other and ends on a rather anticlimactic note, but I can't deny, it feels refreshing to watch an MCU film not directed by Gunn that feels it were made by a actual filmmaker behind the camera.

Plenty of heart and soul in here with the team dynamic, even if it does remind me too much of the guardians of the galaxy. Bob was...Bob ( I love him). Bucky should not have been here at all.

And Taskmaster... lol.

If the rest of the film was as strong as the Dubai section, this would be my favorite MI film.

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall.

In a franchise that has seen the likes of Brian De Palma, John Woo, Brad Bird and Christopher Mcquarrie take the role of director, It's J.J Abrams of all folks in all honesty to have blessed this series with It's strongest directing, added by the fact its shot by one of the best cinematographers in the realm of blockbuster filmmaking in Dan Mindel.

Mission Impossible III is tactile, gritty and thrilling when compared to other entries, which isn't to say they lack tension but at times, I can get too lost in the spectacle that my worry for these characters dwindle. But not III, which from its shocking opening, perfectly establishes the tension that will precede for the rest of the film.

This is also Ethan Hunt's best film from a character perspective so far. With the series seemingly nearing its end, I'm very much curious as to how they push this character in its last two entries (Yes I have yet to see Dead Reckoning, I know), but here we see an Ethan fully motivated by love, which when compared to the 2nd film with a romance that feels more earned. Even with less screentime, I still found myself buying into Ethan and Julia's relationship, as it beautifully adds to Ethan's character given he's been put into a situation where he's been thrown back into the field and fighting with all his might to live a fulfilling life with Julia, which is constantly tested throughout the film.

Can a spy such as him be able to live a life with one another, with no consequences? Throughout the film, it nearly seems inevitable that Ethan and Julia will split given the nature of his job and yet they prevail by the end, their undying love for one another is what makes them see the light of day once more.

Along with that you have Phillip Seymour Hoffman portraying by far the series's most hate able of villains, chewing every scene with such vile.

Not only is this one of my favorites in the franchise but frankly one of my all time favorite action movies period!!!

This thing never works. But this...always does.

My first PWSA! Was genuinely astonished at the digital landscapes in pushing the limits of vfx. Felt evocative of Lucas's prequel trilogy. Such an interesting world that unfortunately it hurts how from a story perspective, I just could not care at all.

For a few hours...we was free.

Last night, I got the chance to be apart of something special, as a South African and lover of all art. What that special something was seeing Lebo M and Hans Zimmer perform live and I don't think the many positive synonyms that I could use could ever properly describe how life changing of an experience that was.

Sure it was exhilarating to see their iconic songs be performed on stage with a live orchestra (hell, they even allowed Zimmer to take center stage for a bit and perform Gladiator and Pirates of the Caribbean), but at it's core, at least from what I took from it, a celebration of culture and togetherness. South Africa, the once Apartheid state, now the rainbow nation, where all different kinds of people come together. Black, Asian, White, Indian, LGBTQIA+, a nation where we are seen as all equal. Obviously, the sentiment has been put into question many of times given that racism is still prevalent and I myself have wondered if we've really transformed as a nation for the better but then there are times such as this concert, where I'm reminded of the beauty of what this rainbow nation can really stand for, where we can all applaud and celebrate in harmony together as one. And that is something special.

I speak about this because Sinners in alot of ways reminded me of how I felt last night in its messaging. Sure you get a good ol thrilling vampire period piece that can be all tons of fun, but you also get a rather beautiful, albeit fairly tragic tale of the hard fight of being in control of your fate. Sure, if you conform to a certain type of living, things may be less difficult but what would be the point then to live if we can't independently make our own choices, pursue careers we want to pursue? That life may be hard, riddled with nothing but hardship and pain, but that's how we improve right? By confronting the pain and coming out as a changed and more realized person, all because you made the choice to take that path despite knowing how it wouldn't be easy for you.

Life is never easy. Many struggle to make ends meet, keep us financially afloat, finding ourselves a home, it can be feel nonstop and dreadful, why would you want to go through all of that? Well, to work to get that, I end up feeling complete, safe.

Watching that concert and this movie helps me feel more appreciative of my origins and not ashamed of who I am, cause I will it, there was a time in my life where I thought, "Well gee, if I were a white man, things would be much easier". Oh how dumb I was back then. I'm far from perfect, still young and inexperienced in alot of things, but that's still me atleast. I am who I am and I decide how I want to live my life no matter what. And so should you.

Whether you're black as me, or even White, Asian, Indian or part of the LGBTQIA+ community, never feel ashamed of who you are. Your existence is valid just like everyone else. Your human, like us we can fuck up and be shitty. But we are also capable of good, as long as you stay true to who you are and not let any asshole say otherwise.

I love you mom.

Over the years, I have become more appreciative of the power of the medium in the ways it can make the individual feel. From amazement towards the craftsmanship behind the camera and (probably the thing about art as a whole that I gravitate to the most) in its ability to make us feel seen, to make us less alone within the world.

Everyone one of us goes through struggles and we sometimes don't know how to contend with it. Either we isolate ourselves and recall all of our past transgressions, how we wish we could have done something different, take back what you said to a loved one, thinking about the what ifs.

The connections we have made. Can they forever last? Sometimes in life, we meet the most wonderful bunch of people that help to fill that empty hole in our hearts, that seems to have an understanding on everything, someone that made you feel so comfortable with yourself. But then, they're gone. We never meet them again but that dosen't have to be a bad thing yknow? Those memories you shared can never be taken away from you. Whether that person is there with you in the present or not, they're never really gone. Perhaps in spirit. The memories still as fresh as ever.

Death is a scary thing to think about, not just the death of yourself but moreso the death of someone we care about. It's inevitable, as much as we hate to say it. That one day, that one special fellow can just not exist anymore. Your whole world feels alot more lonely without them. I don't want to be alone...

Life sucks sometimes. Like downright awful at times. It just seems it only gets worse and worse. Why would I wanna keep suffering in this hell? Thing is, we become so hard focused on all the negative that we sometimes forget about all of the good that can come from the world. The people who instill good, the art that we can create that inspires others, acts of kindness that ensure us there is still good in this world when it seems like everyone is turning towards apathy and cynicism. There's also the natural beauty of this world. Lush, bright locales forever ingrained into your mind. So so beautiful...

I love my friends. I love my family. I love art. I love this world. Most of all, I love me. I wanna go out there and make a difference, hopefully inspire and motivate others in accomplishing their goals. Wouldn't that be something? It sure would. Go out into the world, meet beautiful people, create what you want to create, be appreciative and live ❤

You can do it. I know you can.

I'm not really sure, but I think maybe once a bond is formed, it can never disappear. And if that's the case, even if we forget everything, we'll all be connected again somewhere in the future.

Quite interesting how this is the 2nd Bleach movie to tackle the subject of memory. In memories of nobody, Senna, while despite being nothing more than a collection of memories, nevertheless fights for her personhood because even if that's the case, those ing memories that she feels flowing through her felt real to her and no one can take that away from her. And by the end of the movie, upon seeing the red ribbon he bestowed to Senna earlier and ing by a girl who looks like her, Ichigo re the time he shared with her, making her fight worthwhile in the end.

In fade to black, memory is used to highlight the importance of the bonds we make in our lives, how they can shape us into the person we are and to remove them from our existence, we remain stagnant, fall back into old habits. Without Rukia, Ichigo wouldn't have become a soul reaper, he wouldn't have been granted the power to protect. Byakuya would still strongly follow the laws of the soul society if he never adopted Rukia. And Renji would have continued to struggle in surviving in the slums of the soul society if he had not met his closest friend.

The movie greatly accomplishes in recognizing Rukia's importance to the story of Bleach. She ultimately shaped the lives of so many intentionally or not. It's thanks to Rukia that Ichigo became a soul reaper and got what he always wanted; to be strong and protect. It's thanks to Rukia that led to Ichigo storming the soul society and help see the errors of both Renji and Byakuya's ways, going against the law if it ensures the safety of their loved ones and the pursuit of strength.

Never take anything for granted, especially those we meet. If we keep those memories close to our hearts, it'll be ok.

I LOVE BLACK PEOPLE!!!

Don't know how hot of a take this is (or perhaps cold), this might be my favorite Tom Cruise performance. I'm sorry, like as soon as Jerry became drunk out of his mind I knew I was watching something special.

I had a date.

Upon rewatching this and as well as checking out Ed Brubaker's run, I really would have loved to see a Joe Johnston trilogy of Cap movies.

That bundle...that's family.

Don't know why, but the campfire scene just really got to me and then it hit me that we really lost someone special in this world.

Lynch's filmography I'm still new to but I have a feeling with each proceeding film and then Twin Peaks his ing will majorly affect me in a way that's never happened before when it comes to a celebrity's ing since Chadwick Boseman.

Mickey is such a dickhead 😭

Good God, this takes me back! Last I saw of this was back when Frozen came out (fuck, I'm getting old).

JOHANNESBURG MENTION❗❗❗

We all have it coming, Kid.

Do we men deserve forgiveness? The violence we bring, the terror we instill in others, the youth that see such actions as irable and inspiring and follow in their footsteps. And for what? For money, power and sex? Is it worth it in the end? Do you even feel satisfied, or there is a part in you that wants more?

Can we even forgive ourselves for such sins? Are we capable of preventing ourselves from falling into the deep end and start anew? We try so desperately to and yet, those darker tendencies we so easily fall back into. Is there a light at the end of the tunnel for us? Who knows, it's hard to say. You'd have to take a leap of faith and see for yourself.

The culmination of an era. Not just Eastwoods but the genre as a whole. They just don't make em how they used to.

Bless Kari Skogland and P.J Dillon for giving this show such a strong visual identity in contrast to other MCU projects. Actual lighting involved that gives life and texture to each scene, close ups of characters faces as we unravel all of their complex emotions that give this show such a personal feel.

You're one of the gods!

Wow. I'm honestly speechless. Maybe from a story perspective it's tackling familiar ground but it's how it's told is what's captivating about it. Director Michael Gracey and everyone else involved in this production really go for it here! A psychedelic extravaganza/nightmare bolstering some stunning cinematography, every positive synonym you could use here to describe the look of this thing. The dance numbers choreographed to pure perfection, it had me getting goosebumps everytime. The Rock DJ sequence in particular was astounding.

But what really made me adore this work of art is how fucking honest it is in showing who Robbie was as a person. That level of honesty is especially increased given Robbie Williams was involved in the production of this film. The self loathing he has for himself, for his past transgressions, the cocaine, the alcohol, the failed relationships he has had with those he cares about, you never get that kind of honesty so strongly present here in other biopics. This long and arduous journey in self betterment, it struck a core in me that I wasn't expecting to occur.

Robbie Williams was someone I was unfamiliar with and perhaps a small part of that played into my initial disinterest in checking this out but now, I regret not watching this in theaters. Breathtaking, vulnerable and human. A masterpiece of a film!

Embrace the risk!

High school...it's a pain in the ass. To say these last couple of days have been some of the most stressful would be an understatement, it's fucking hell. Nonstop work after work after work after work, as well as a gazillion assignments that need to be handed in by a certain date WHILE also preparing for test week, it's... nerve wracking. I knew that entering matric wasn't gonna be some walk in the park, but still I never imagined it to be this intense. And then when adding in the fact that I am getting older, start looking for a job and getting a driver's license and other adult bullshit that must be done, I feel overwhelmed and scared, afraid of the possibility of not accomplishing any of that.

Movies has always been a form of therapy for me. Acting as an escapism from the real world and into the fantastical somewhat. I could laugh, cry and smile without constantly worrying about my personal life. But that's a temporary form of escapism. Once the movie cuts to black, it's over. The characters are off on their own journeys that we aren't privy to seeing. It does not concern us. You reenter into that state of sadness as you that you're living in a world with the worst kind of people, corrupt, greedy and narcissistic, caring little of other's as long as it benefits them in the long run. And for what reason? For having different skin color, sexualities, genders, languages, religious beliefs?! How fucking childish is that!

Why am I going on a tangent about real life problems for what's supposed to be a review about a marmalade eating, British talking bear? Well, frankly we all need a Paddington in our lives, especially in this current day of age. Someone who, well, cares about people. Seeing the good in people, treating people like any regular person no matter who they are, well mannered, also lending a helping hand and while not understanding how everything works, tries their best and pushes on.

Not only did this movie spoke to me In regards to reaching adulthood and moving on and the fears that come with it, the fears of expectations expected from you by your own family, getting out of your comfort zone and facing your fears head on, But most important of all, how we can be more than where we came from while still being able to accept that part of ourselves and still be you.

Kindness, empathy, comion, self acceptance, courage, all of these emotions all jammed into this little film that deeply resonated with me and was the kinda thing I needed at this point of time. I don't know how to feel about myself as a person. I sometimes feel cold, distant, uncaring, lonely, any negative connotation you could associate with a human being. But at the same time, I know that I'm not these things and have a hard time accepting that. I can be empathetic, I do care about others and feel concern for whatever problem they are facing and wanting to do anything to help but not knowing how; I've met many people who I consider family and love them dearly. Being born with autism is something that I have started to accept being and wouldn't want to be any different. Being a young black man, I am no longer ignorant of the issues many of my brothers and sisters face as I was before, when I didn't understand how the world worked. I still don't, and am still scared of fucking up, but there is a fire in me that's telling me that "hey man, you'll be alright"

Never stop being you. Don't let anyone tell you who you should be. We are all in charge of our own fate. We have the power to make an impact for the better when all hope seems lost. It's scary, I know, but dont let that fear take hold of you. Keep that chin up and always move forward with love in our hearts.

Honestly way better than I expected it to be. Obviously the original series's run remains unbeatable but this was nevertheless a strong follow up.

Love how Olyphant portrays Raylan here. Still that same charm and anger but very much far from his prime and more or less matured since the last time we saw him.

Was also impressed by the cinematography. The murky look thats present in alot of streaming shows is still present here but when there's actual lighting and contrast involved, it's pretty to look at, even implementing some cool camera techniques here and there.

Boyd Hardbrook is no Boyd Crowder but he manages to inject a very one note villain with so much personality he becomes enjoyable to watch. The Last couple of eps do feel abit rushed and I'm not sure how to make of the final scene, but I found this to be a fun ride and neat return to this series. If there's ever more Justified, I'm all down for it.

It's time to let go.

There's a charm from that first film that isn't present here, as well as lacking the thrills from its predecessor, but nevertheless it's mildly enjoyable.
Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes are weirdly giving strong performances when they could have easily phoned it in. The cinematography is actually pretty solid, the vfx more convincing, and the spectacle is there, but it's missing a little oomf when compared to Clash.

Two days ago, an icon was lost. A man that revolutionised the way people saw art, the endless creativity that could be accomplished in the medium and how in many forms, be moved by said art. his work has gone on inspire many aspiring filmmakers and influenced many popular works such as Gravity Falls and Alan Wake. If that isn't an indication of a legend, then i don't know what is.

When i heard of his ing, i almost got emotional despite my unfamiliarity of his work. That isn't to say i am devoid of a heart, especially in regards to some celebrity deaths. I just sometimes have a hard time feeling anything. Is it because of how sanitized i've become of death? maybe so and i feel disgusted saying that. i think what hit me in regards to Lynch's death was seeing the reactions unfold. This man had changed so many people's lives with his work, made them feel seen, inspired and for one guy to have that powerful of a effect on others, that's fucking beautiful.

May David Lynch rest in peace and may his legacy carry on.

My ass en fuego!

With every F&F entry further escalating in their premise and setpieces, it's understandable as to why so many have turned away from this franchise, missing its more simpler glory days. But I honestly think this entry does somewhat accomplish in recapturing that nostalgia.

With Justin Lin at the director's helm once again, the film acts as a end of an era, confronting the ghost of Dom's past (the past that was established in those earlier films) and ending off with the promise of a better tomorrow, a future in where despite how we are unable to change past transgressions, we ourselves can change. And change is never easy, nothing ever is, but all the hardship you'll face will be worth it in the end.

Lin goes all in delivering some chaotic blockbuster magic that's all nonsense and bonkers, but filled with so much ion on display. Kinda amazed how much of the setpieces have so much practicality to them!

Man, I would be lying to myself if I said I don't miss the imp crew's shenanigans on earth. And that's not to say the current direction of the story is something I really dislike despite some personal gripes, it just feels completely separate from what was expected from this pilot and first season. I feel like we should've had more earth related adventures that would've greatly benefited in developing these character's dynamics with one another, seeing themselves as more than just work buddies and a genuine family.

There could have been better balance of the earth shit and personal conflicts the characters deal with instead of favoring all in on the melodrama and hopefully with s3, we can get more of those adventures once again.
