Excited for Final Reckoning!

Basically Rivette’s The Mother and the Whore with how its depiction of the breakdown of a relationship feels punishing to watch, especially when you add the rehearsal scenes that would be a precursor for the even more punishing Out 1.

Watched this alone in my local theater, and that’s opening night! But I didn’t mind, because I just had to be there to watch this milestone in Filipino-American representation in Hollywood. Easter Sunday may not please anyone, certainly not non-Filipinos who may not get some of the Filipinisms, but this is such a proud moment for me and I shall cherish it.

Still my fave Mission: Impossible.
