Hereditary messed me up, fr. this ain't your typical horror with cheap jumpscares it's pure psychological horror that slowly crawls under your skin and refuses to leave. the tension? unbearable. the trauma? generational. the ending? mind-blowing and disturbing as hell.
Toni Collette? ACTING MASTERCLASS. that dinner scene alone deserves an Oscar. the way this movie builds dread is insane! no loud noises, no sudden ghosts popping out, just pure, unsettling nightmare fuel. it's not just about supernatural horror, it's about grief, family trauma, and being trapped in a fate you can't escape.
if you love deep psychological horror that lingers in your mind for days, this is a must-watch. but if you're easily creeped out, good luck sleeping!!

horornya ga serem tapi komedinya oke kecuali yg mengarah ke disability dan hal² yg berbau sensitif lainnya. belum lagi plotnya yg bisa diprediksi mau ke mana dan pengembangan karakter yg kurang adl bbrp minus dr film ini. tp klo ngomongin mslh chemistry dan kemampuan akting para pemain yg terbilang cukup baik dan natural wajar klo film ini byk yg mengapresiasi.

wkwkwk klo paham bgt bhs jawa timuran (surabaya, malang dan sekitarnya) dan ga perlu baca subtitle ini lucu sih krn relatable gt. musik latar oke, wlpn alur agak loncat² tp termaafkan, kombinasi horror dan komedi lumayan "niat" diliat dr SFX makeup setan²nya yg terbilang cukup baik utk film genre komedi horor "indonesia". nilai plus lainnya adalah setiap karakter punya latar belakang yg cukup memorable, jadi film ini cukup menghibur dan layak tonton.

goddamn... i finally watched this! it's s been on my watchlist forever, and i just got around to it now 😭
well... at first, Arrival seems like an alien movie, but it's really about time, language, and choices. the biggest twist? what we thought were flashbacks were actually glimpses of the future. the wild part? she actually lives by what Ian said, but Ian doesn’t when reality hits.
man... this movie is about choosing love, even when you know it'll hurt.

pdhl premis "pembajakan pesawat dalam balutan komedi" punya potensi besar krn terbilang fresh untuk pasaran indo. tp malah setelah terjadi pembajakan alur mulai kacau, humor ga kena, karakter ga berkembang, sayang bgt ngelibatin byk aktor dan aktris yg cukup pny nama tp eksekusinya ga solid. jd durasi hampir 2 jam cape dan bosen aja. dr awal smp akhir ga ada sekalipun aku ketawa 😭

well... this movie's all about how chasing perfection can mess you up guys. like, beauty standards these days? straight-up insane. the real "substance" is that need for clout and validation got people hooked for real. it's deep, creepy, and the visuals? fire!! this one hits hard with the message while keeping it hella stylish and freaky. a banger, no cap.

the futuristic world-building, the human-machine relationships, and how tech can be exploited make this one worth watching. even though the pacing drags a bit and the ending's more about feels than action, overall it's still good.
and seriously, Wheelers from Return to Oz (1985) and Zimbos really look alike, wtf. one is a robotics military unit, and the other seems like a gang of weirdos. both give off a creepy yet cool vibe. lol

the excessive gore is just a big nope for me, it's not smooth at all. with lots of unnecessary graphic depictions of sexual violence, lack of character development, overused shock tactics, and a predictable plot.

dulu pas nonton jujur belum terlalu ngeh sama istimewanya film ini (walaupun ttp suka sih, tp sukanya subjektif krn cuma ngeliat Vino, Ramon, dan Marcel aja wkwk). tapi sekarang nonton lagi... ceritanya relatable bgt sama jaman SMA. pesan moralnya juga dapet, mulai dari kerja keras, persahabatan, sampai gimana cara ngadepin konflik di umur belasan dg cara yg cukup dewasa (meskipun konflik²nya klise + gampang ditebak). tapi dg adanya komedi yg segar dan ringan bikin film ini seru untuk ditonton bareng².

this pregnant woman is literally fighting through isolation, hunger, and the challenges of becoming a mom. the themes of survival, hope, and how far a mother will go for her child are insane.. especially since she's already lost one before. the pacing and tension had me crying, feeling like a warrior, crying again, holding my breath, then crying again till the end 😭😭😭.
if it were a comedy movie, i'd go with the title "TUPPERWARE EVERYWHERE"!! LOL
