I watched this movie on my birthday with my 77 year old dad. As we left he did some sort of dinosaur/ Frankenstein pose to try to scare me and said happy birthday. I have a migraine. It was meh 3/5. Nothing got explained so it feels like there was no pay off.
The “how” gets explained but not the “why” perhaps I’m asking too much if horror movies. Stil had fun with my dad :)

Giving it a two stars because it's. Watchable in the most basic definition of the word. The movie is only popular because of the mythology surrounding it. At the time the effects were so realistic there was a court case to make sure the actors were alive.
The only real casuality, is the turtle that is killed in the movie.
My real gripe with this movie is the very, racist, and quite frankly, boring troupe of oh scary native people…
