Dune Part Two was an awesome cinematic experience as awesome as the first one. Maybe the thrill is lessened a bit thanks to our now more extensive knowledge of the sandworms. But the rich enviroment of the desert planet is always captivating and immersive.
I did feel the story lagging a bit right after the mid-point, and left confused on the character motivations on a beat-by-beat basis but it quickly picked it back up with the final showdown, reaching near the 3 hour runtime mark.
Also, I'm surprised how much humor has been instilled in this film, I wasn't even expecting to laugh out loud once let alone at multiple scenes.
Getting someone who despises religion with every fiber in their being as me to root for the religious group in the movie is something.
Us cinephiles have one job and job only. To keep going to the theater to ensure the releases of the subsequent entries in the Dune franchise.
