I can tolerate “birds attacking the camera” kind of jump-scare once but not twice

First of all, it was brilliant. Some scenes were extraordinarily intelligent and intense. The acting, the writing, the cinematography, and the details were all great but somehow also very simple. The risk he took with the student story was handled bravely, and the balance was well done. Although we saw this story mostly through Samet's eyes, and it was sometimes hard to bear, the distance was kept well. I think this is a special talent when it comes to anti-hero…
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
I just cannot stand the male perspective and forcing the viewer to empathize with the awful characters as if they have a huge dilemma on their plates. I cannot stand watching a story where the characters are presented “so complex” whereas in reality they are just absurd. Why was he portrayed like he actually loved his wife or he was sad about the deaths (in the scene where he visited the burnt house for instance).
This is a great & important…
