Thank you for giving our precious Pussy a ride home. We love Pussy.
Yes, we do.

Say what you want about Quentin Tarantino, the man knows how to make you walk out of a 2 hour and 40 minute movie with a huge fucking smile on your face. Very Highly Recommended.

But we must look a little closer. And when we do, we see the donut hole has a hole in its center. It is not a donut hole, but a smaller donut with its own hole. And our donut is not a hole at all! 🍩

A master class in stealthily setting up every third act reveal and then knocking them down, one by one. Rian Johnson took his Star Wars blank check and turned it into something truly magnificent. Holds up fantastically on rewatch. In fact, I’m raising it half a star. Highly Recommended.

Everything you were, everything you've done, has come down to this.

Why to Watch: The conclusion (?!?) of Tom Cruise's thus-far-unsuccessful 30-year attempt to die doing what he loves to do. The Mission: Impossible series has gone through ups and... even higher ups, and Director Christopher McQuarrie has been there for the last several entries - mostly with rousing success. Opening this weekend at theaters everywhere.

How It Went: These movies are judged on a sliding scale, to be sure.…

'Oh Pansy! What's wrong with you? Why can't you go outside and play? Why can't you make friends? Why can't you enjoy life?'
Whycan't you enjoy life?!
I DON'T KNOW!!

Why to Watch: Director Mike Leigh's (Secrets and Lies) latest feature garnered some attention on end-of-year lists and the BAFTAs 6 months ago but didn't get much of a theatrical run here in the states. It's finally available to stream on Paramount Plus with Showtime.

There is a silence where hath been no sound / There is a silence where no sound may be / In the cold grave, under the deep deep sea.

A woman wrote and directed this film, so I guess any problems I have with the concept of a woman prostituting herself for a piano and then falling in love with the man who purchased her for that price are due to my own ignorance. But, regardless... Eww. I have no…

We're in love. We just want to be together. What's wrong with that?

This movie is like pushing a magic reset button on how it feels to be young, in love, and part of something real for the first time in your life. Sam and Suzy are all of us, fighting against seemingly the whole rest of the world to find our own happiness. As a matter of course for any Wes Anderson film, the production design is absolutely mesmerizing…
