Until Dawn, the game not the movie is an interesting case study on interactive media.
My experience with it is a play through with my two best friends as we attempted to get everyone killed. Only 2 survived.
But as a film, it feels like a holdover of how these things were adapted in the 2000s where it was just to buy the name.
Looking at it as its own piece of media, it was fine. Always fun watching hot people die. But anytime it tried to be deep or have a theme it was laughable at best. I had a good time watching it, but much like other David F Sandberg films, it’s a one and done for me.

Not sure why this is called the 15th anniversary screening since it came out in 2006, but I’m not complaining.
This movie was so much better on the 2nd rewatch. Saw it for the first time a few years back and I liked it. But now I love it. The vibes and animation are truly immaculate. The romance aspect feels a bit out of nowhere still. That’s still my only issue with the film.
