We Live in Time

While this feels a little unfulfilled looking back at it, and some dialogue early on was a little clunky, you can’t judge a film too harshly when it makes you feel such a depth of emotion and gets you thinking. Pugh and Garfield really grow into this the longer it goes on and the ending, while predictable, is done excellently.
EDIT: The score is so beautiful man

Spent the majority of this not enjoying it (largely due to the lead's performance and his chracter being so unlikeable); the rest of the cast is acting rings around him most of the time.
However the last 10/15 mins did redeem it a little for me and i got the hitchcockian comparisons with Chris having to live with what he's done.

Interview with the Vampire

1994

★★½ Watched

Assumed I’d really like this but for the most part I just wasn’t too interested! Kirsten Dunst’s intro and her character were great and I liked the first 10 mins of the guys in Paris but I think the first act and most of the final one were just a bit dull :/ can’t like em all!

Perplexing, a mess, incredible. The opening montage is hilarious and after meeting everyone I was so locked in, three hours went by in a flash. All the cast are on their A-game but cruise is both hilarious and heart-breaking.

Can’t wait to see this again someday, really cool to see this on a new 35mm film restoration.

As my relationship with my parents continues to change this film means more and more to me. Some special frames and soul touching dialogue, I’m floored by the last sequence after under pressure every time.
