I am confused at all the Gregg Araki comparisons cause Gregg Araki films are sexy and gross and deviant and noisy and this is just kinda boring and wet and placid… also, maybe it’s a stretch, but I’m watching Brideshead Revisited atm and I feel that show (from mainstream British telly in the 80’s) does sexual/identity repression, exploration of nostalgia (it even does the voiceover/narration!) so much more effectively!
Idk I really didn’t gel with this one… I suspect it’s been overhyped…

my sister on the ending; ‘wtf is this, the end of a Hustle episode? Knives Out?’
