Haven’t seen this film in a long time, I definitely can say that this was due for a rewatch. I originally had this at a 4 star rating due to my memory of the film being vague. It’s the film that established Star Wars, the film that was the beginning of one of the most if not most legendary franchise in entertainment history.
This surprisingly had some breathtaking visuals, especially the Tatooine sunset. The practical effects are sick as fuck, it makes these kinda small ships behind the scenes look huge by manipulating the camera which is pretty impressive to me. The set pieces are some of my favorite ever, idk why but these hallways in the ships are just badass to me, not to mention the scale of the film is pretty huge, multiple planets and a huge ass ship.
Continuing on with the planets and Death Star, the world building in this film is on another level, genuinely some of the best I have ever seen, it established the lore of the planets, the characters, hell even the ships have lore established. The lore established for the characters is done so well, leaving a mysterious feeling to them wanting to know more, it makes Obi-Wan so much more interesting.
Darth Vader is introduced and instantly was already a badass the first steps he took with that cool ass armor design. The lore between Obi-Wan and Darth Vader is somewhat established in the film leaving the audience wanting to know more about it which is genius marketing wise💀. Han Solo was never a character I connected with much when I first watched these films but I definitely am connecting with his character more and liking him more, I always thought his character was somewhat boring or something but yea I definitely like his character better now. Princess Leia the original Pe is a legendary character, played by the legend Carrie Fisher, the chemistry between Luke and Leia is interesting to say the least💀.
Star Wars is the most iconic Sci-Fi film ever in my opinion, it’s a masterpiece and a perfect beginning to a iconic franchise.

It’s shot beautifully as most Star Wars films are, it’s written well as some Star Wars films are, but it’s the best Star Wars modern film by far and it’s not close. “Rogue One” is one of the most if not the most consistent Star Wars films I have seen.
It’s so fucking beautiful, not to mention the beautiful planet of Scarif. It uses the modern visual effects to perfection, the color palette is so beautiful, and the color grading too. Vader somehow is like visually beautiful in this film due to them placing him perfectly in every scene and the background of his scenes being sick asf.
It has some of the most interesting characters in modern Star Wars, even the characters with not the most screen time are written so well and made so interesting. The dialogue is also really great and the line delivery too.
Fucking Vader was aura farming so bad in this film, although he kinda doesn’t even need to aura farm since he’s literally the word aura, he can just stand there and he’s like the most badass thing ever.
Andor is one of my favorite characters in Star Wars history if I’m being honest after binging Andor and now watching Rogue One, he’s written so well in both pieces of media, I wish Bix was in this film but it wasn’t focused on Andor so it kinda excused the absence of her.
It was such an interesting idea and overall good idea to make this film, props to Disney. Diving into the beginnings of the Rebel alliance figuring out about the Death Star and finally being ready to fight back it’s just such a cool backstory. I just wish they could have been this consistent in every project they did.
Star Wars 1977 might be my next watch and I’m actually so fucking excited about it cause I have not been watched the original trilogy in probably about a decade💀.
]]>Another rewatch for a film that I have considered since release as the greatest film of all time, truly a generational film in many ways.
“Dune: Part Two” takes the world building from the first Dune and arguably takes it to another level, it expands Arrakis so fucking much in the film, expanding the lore, locations, and culture. It takes the peak characters from the first Dune and makes them even better, it adds new characters that are arguably some of the best we have seen from the Dune films. They are equally perfect in many aspects too, visuals is especially where they both excel for me on the same level and I don’t think there could have been much improvement from the first film because it was just so good in the first film, the color palette and the color grading are just excellent in both of these films.
The hype leading up to this films release in theaters was really fucking high and I the first reviews from mutuals calling it generational, masterpiece, and many other words that are aligned with praise of films, so I was so hype going to the theater to see it, and it did not disappoint at all, it exceeded my expectations by so much that I had to see it twice both times in IMAX. Dune: Part Two’s theatre experience will forever stick with me and it was just a peak time of life too.
Simply put “Dune: Part Two” is a masterpiece in my opinion.
Paul Atreides is like a generational character, Timothee as Paul is fucking peak like his monologues and general line delivery is some of my favorite ever seen in a film, the cave speech still sends chills down my spine every time I hear it, legendary scene ALREADY! Oh and the LEAD THEM TO PARADISE line is up there too with the Hans Zimmer score in the background oh man I can’t put into words what that score does to me.
“I am Paul Muad'Dib Atreides, Duke of Arrakis. The Hand of God be my witness, I am the Voice from the Outer World! I will lead you to paradise!”
“There is no one in this room who can stand against me. Your mothers warned you about my coming. Fear the moment. But you think you could have a chance. But you are afraid, what if I could be the One? This could be the moment you've been praying for, all your life.”
FUCKING MASTERPIECE!!!!!!!
Messiah will be a masterpiece too.

Definelty one of my favorite action films.
]]>I can’t even explain it but like this is js the most 2000s/late90s typa vibe/feeling film I’ve seen except for Scooby doo 2002.

]]>I have not been a Mission Impossible fan for a long time like some people, but I do love it as much as the people who love it the most. My Mission Impossible binge over the last week has been such a fucking blast, genuinely becoming the best action film franchise I’ve seen. Every film has outrageous, crazy, and unbelievable stunts. Almost every stunt outdoes the previous stunt getting better and better, more and more captivating. Each Mission Impossible film I have seen has just been some of the craziest shit I’ve seen in any action films I’ve seen in of stunts and more. Mission Impossible sets the standard for stunts in action films for the foreseeable future. Mission Impossible simply put once again is the standard for action films.
Tom Cruise what you have crafted with the help a bunch of fantastic different directors, producers, and cast and crew, it’s just astonishing. Tom Cruise has stated in multiple interviews his love for cinema and movies in general, often promoting you have to see his film in the cinema and I love him for that. He didn’t even go to film school or acting school which makes it more impressive to me, he just simply studied movies and that is such a huge inspiration to so many people including me. I was watching his Pat McAfee interview segment and he talks about studying every department of filmmaking, trying to understand the culture, wanting to make a culture where people can flourish, and once again I love him for that, it just shows how dedicated he is to this shit, he even said he makes the movies for the audiences. I just love how dedicated he is to this shit. Just thank you Tom Cruise, you are a LEGEND. Also please watch that whole interview if you can it’s actually such a good interview.
Mission Impossible: Final Reckoning not only takes Mission Impossible as a series to another level on of everything, it is the perfect closure for the series.
The dialogue and screenplay are great, every line delivered in this film meant something and it just shows how much goes into these films. Going from the dialogue and screenplay, man were these performances good. I mean like the line delivery is just perfection, Simon Pegg in the sequence that I’m not gonna explain cause I don’t really want to put a spoiler thing has such fantastic line delivery and really carries the scene. Tom Cruise and Angela Bassett in another scene I won’t explain make the tension in the scene with their line delivery and performances, Pom Klementieff excels in her performance through body language and choreography while also having fantastic line delivery. The side characters are also at their best. I wanna talk about certain cast I wanna talk about but I feel like some people won’t want to know they are in the film, but yeah they are great. (Edit) ok wait he’s in the trailer, fucking Tramell Tillman is in this and I loved him I can’t wait to see more from him.
The visuals overall throughout the whole film are excellent, I fucking loved the cinematography so much especially during the action/stunt scenes. Some of these shots are fucking beautiful, when you see the film you’ll know what I’m talking about.
Tom Cruise also talked about these films helping us escape from reality or it was Pat in the interview, and this did help me escape from reality definitely, the cinemas has been and probably will always be my favorite place to escape from reality.
It’s honestly crazy how every act of this film is flawless and they’re all equally consistent and at the same level. All the submarine stuff is like so fucking peak, every other plot line is peak but that is definitely my favorite part of the film, so much cool shit happened in that part, but once again a lot cool shit happened in other parts of the film. Not to mention Tom Cruise is fucking ripped.
Thank you Tom Cruise and the cast and crew of this film and all the other cast and crew of the other Mission Impossible films for this legendary series of films that transcends the action genre and set the standard. It’s truly crazy how this franchise has multiple films that are in my top 20 for action films all time. There might be some spinoffs in this film series, but I guarantee they will be as good as the rest of these films.

]]>Will it it’s not as good as Fallout but it’s still really fucking good.
Watched this with my dad, I think he really likes it so hopefully we’ll go see the next film in theatres soon.
The main thing I was confused about during this film was who is this guy Briggs. Anyways the score is great once again, the performances, characters, dialogue all great. I do think the stunts take a bit of a step down here in some ways but also a step up makes no sense but like that’s the only way I can put it.
But yeah definitely enjoyed this film can’t wait to see Final Reckoning maybe tomorrow or Tuesday.

A beautifully beautifully crafted masterpiece of an action film. Mission Impossible - Fallout is one of if not the best action films I have ever seen.
I honestly full heartedly think this film basically has no flaws at all, when I say this film is like surprisingly beautiful, I mean it, like the cinematography and set pieces, color palette, color grading, and more all blends together so well in so many scenes, especially the scene between Ethan and Ilsa where they are under the line of tress, beautifully shot, perfectly executed in every way along with a beautiful score.
The score is as always with the Mission Impossible films are peak. The overall sound of this film is so fucking good, the scene where Ilsa is in the tunnel on the motorcycle and you can hear like the wind being distorted, oh man the sound effects are a blessing to my ear.
The script is great, dialogue is delivered really well, the story blends well, plot twists as always are great. The John Lark stuff is so entertaining and I never really could tell who it actually was. Ethan Hunt throughout these films has become one of my favorite characters in film, he has been through so much, his government has betrayed him and treated him like shit so much and he still fights for them.
The performances from the whole cast are also another flawless thing about this film, Henry Cavill as John Lark/August Walker is so good, Tom Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, and the returning characters are as great as always.
One more thing about the film visually and I love these things so fucking much, they are my favorite little thing about films, the aspect ratio changes ooohh I love them.
The stunts in the film are actually crazy as fuck and they have so much aura and like I can’t even think of any other words to put my feelings of them into perspective js crazy. The scale of the film is another thing I loved about the film.
My Mission Impossible watch through has been really great and I’m excited for the next two, hoping to see mission Impossible - Final Reckoning tomorrow or soon in general. Maybe Final Destination Bloodlines too.
But yeah flawless film in my opinion.

]]>Only seen a couple of films with like such an aesthetic to it, this 90s aesthetic is js the shit ngl. Like visually this film just has such an aesthetic that like is beautiful and like charming, the color palette is beautiful too.
The soundtrack is peak also adding to the vibe of the film very much, Jonah Hill just beautifully crafted this film in every way in my opinion.
The cinematography is also flawless in my opinion, it perfectly fits like the skating aesthetic and the 90a aesthetic too, the aspect ratio fits the film so well along with all the grain. Haven’t seen necessarily a lot of films but I think this film is pretty unique visually overall pretty sure I haven’t seen a film that visually looks like this.
Coming of age films have always been my favorite typa films, I love all the characters and how you get to know them more and more throughout the film truly realizing who each of them are, every character in this film is written so well.
The film is written really well too, the comedy hits basically all the time I forgot how hilarious this film is at times, it can go from being serious to hilarious and I just love that so much.
Haven’t seen Mid90’s is mad long probably a couple of years, glad I rewatched this masterpiece of a coming of age, I definitely appreciate this shit way more on rewatch.

Just imagine if Ashoka was here maybe, just maybe she could’ve helped Anakin? But I don’t even know if she could cause I think Palpatine just brainwashed him so much, but you never really can know how it could go under different circumstances. I kinda wish we could’ve had a reference to the siege of Mandalore in the film but once again I don’t even think they were thinking up the siege of mandalore or maybe even Ashoka during the development of this film.
After seeing this in theatres, I definitely can say watching films in the theatre definitely does excel the viewing experience but it does not affect how good a film is and while that might be pretty obvious it’s just something I’m sure of now cause I still loved this film just as much as I did seeing it in theaters, just the viewing experience ain’t the same at all.
I was gonna watch Rouge One or New Hope but I started Andor and I wanna kinda keep up with the timeline, this ain’t helping that, but I don’t wanna go far ahead in the timeline.

The Dancing Queen sequence of this film might be one of my favorite film scenes I’ve ever seen it’s such a fucking vibe, every dancing scene in this film is so peak and it makes it so fucking peak.
The beautiful setting, color grading, and color palette are all beautiful and overall the film visually is beautiful.

Holy shit this has the best lighting in a film I have ever seen lowkey. The color palette and color grading, it all makes me feel like I’m on drugs watching the film in some ways and I also felt like the lighting visually showed how the characters felt in the film through the use of color and lighting.
The cinematography in their film is also perfection in my opinion, showing what the characters are feeling mentally and physically due to the drugs, the often tilted and unique cinematography throughout the film makes the film feel uneasy and like different I don’t really know how to put into words I tried to there but like in general the cinematography is flawless.
The setting of the film is perfect for the film overall in every way, characters, plot, and more. The many places it shows in Las Vegas, mainly the apartment gives the film a junkie and trippy vibe.
The performances from Johnny Depp and Benicio del Toro are flawless, while being sober probably? Make the characters what they are through their flawless body language and line delivery often being slurred and then acting drunk, high, and just tripping. Honestly don’t think the film could be casted any better because these 2 were perfect for the film.
The environment and atmosphere also match the vibe of the film perfectly too, the trippy vibes, the film being set in the early 70s and the wardrobe it all just is built perfectly to match the early 70s aesthetic.
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is one of my favorite films ever on first watch, I can’t even try and put into words what I was feeling while watching this but I did indeed love it. Johnny Depp’s character is one of my favorites ever.
“We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of cocaine, and a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers... Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get locked into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can. The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge, and I knew we'd get into that rotten stuff pretty soon.”

I came into this film with high expectations mostly expecting a 4-4.5 star film and it barely reached it but it still met them.
It is definitely the most solid marvel film in a while, I enjoyed Deadpool and Wolverine more but this film definitely is more of a good film overall in my opinion.
It had really good themes of mental health which I can heavily relate to sometimes. The comedy hit most times, my favorite character still is Red Guardian tied with Bucky though. The visual effects are actually pretty good in this compared to Brave New World where it was pretty ass. The cast is fantastic definitely my favorite thing about the film by far, Florence Pugh, Lewis Pullman, David Harbour, Sebastian Stan they all have great chemistry, the performances are good too. The dialogue is solid, and the characters are great. The post credit scene, specifically the second one makes me very very excited for the future of the MCU.
Overall I had a pretty fun time with this film I do think some parts could’ve been better but it’s once again definitely one of the more solid MCU films we have gotten in a while.
]]>The aesthetic of this film is just like perfect. The lighting and color grading while hated my some or most is a thing I love about this film, I just think it matches the overall vibe this film goes for so well and the setting of the film too.
The soundtrack is peak with 2 songs from the goats PARAMORE. The film is so quotable, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are iconic. The visuals of the film once again js fit the aesthetic so well.
Such an iconic film, if you fw this film I fw you heavy.

Man I have not seen this in a long time maybe since it came out.
Matt Damon and Christian Bale have fantastic on screen chemistry the whole here one of the more solid things about the film in my opinion, while their performances are good I don’t think they rank anywhere near the top of their career’s.
I also thought the film captures the 60s really well in regards to fashion, architecture, and mainly cars. It’s another one of the things I liked the most about the film. The last thing I really loved about the film is the visuals, I thought the color grading, color palette and also lighting are somewhat beautiful in some ways. I also loved the cinematography at most times especially in the racing scenes, I do think some scene could have had better cinematography though.
The pacing of the film is alright I do think it had some slow moments although it wasn’t necessarily boring.
The dialogue is good but not too special, it had some pretty good monologues.
The story is told mostly solid I do think some parts could have been better, but in general it’s pretty entertaining and written well.
Ford V Ferrari while I don’t think this is best picture nomination good I think so many other films could have been picked instead of this.
Overall I had a pretty good time with this rewatch, probably won’t rewatch again for a while or even my whole life.

]]>My Life Just Peaked.
Seeing this in theaters is honestly like, I have no words for this, this is the happiest I’ve been in a bit.
This film is genuinely a masterpiece in every way, like the, I don’t even know what to say anymore cause like this shit was honesty the best thing I’ve ever experienced, don’t even try to say recency bias cause I’m sure on this.
These past couple of days have been pretty shitty I’ve been feeling down mentally and not wanting to do anything for some reason. I needed to go see this as an escape from reality, and it honestly helped very much, while this feeling might not last long and I can already feel it wearing off, I am just so glad I got to experience this in theaters and it was just such a privilege. The one thing I didn’t like much was the crowd, I found some of the people in there to be idk just annoying in some ways, but also the crowd was a bit boring, there was a little clapping at the end that I tried to make into more but it didn’t work and I made a fool out of myself. Anyways once again genuinely a masterpiece in my opinion, after this it honestly might be top 1-3 favorite films of all time.
GO SEE THIS IN THEATERS.
]]>If you hate this film, can you really call yourself a film lover. A monumental film in my opinion, James Cameron is a GOAT.
The scale of the film is crazy in my opinion, while it’s only on a ship the fact it actually felt like they were on the Titanic, and the many shots that show how large the Titanic truly was, I know there’s way larger ships now but the Titanic is still huge, it’s actually kinda scary to me how large some of these ships are, I actually grew a little bit of a fear from this film to the Titanic.
Not to mention how legendary this film is putting up legendary numbers at the box office and just overall having an iconic reputation.
Leo and Kate Winslet are perfect in every way, their chemistry and some of the best I’ve seen in a film ever.
The one thing I don’t like about the film only in certain moments is the visual effects but it was 1997 soooo.
This is another one of those films I’ve loved and appreciated since I was younger and I will continue to cherish it. It’s a genuine masterpiece in my opinion.
]]>I js cried simply looking up angus cloud after seeing a clip of the Stand By Me scene in Euphoria, that scene means everything to me, it’s been a little bit since Angus Cloud ed away but man it’s so sad. His soul seemed so pure and he just seemed like a cool dude.
I had to say this to yall because that scene just once again means so much to me, I get this platform is mainly for films.

It’s insane how good these two films are like so perfect.
The Spider Verse films are arguably both top 10 animated films of all time maybe even top 5, due to the crazy good animation and excellent voice acting, and even some of my favorite soundtracks ever with iconic songs in both of the films and also a good score, they both manage to be flawless films in my opinion, also the fact they are Spider-Man films which is my favorite superhero.
I sadly did not get to see this in theaters and I’m still sad about that to this day, I hope one day I can though.
I think it has a better plot than the first film slightly and better stakes along with slightly better animation, but I do like the first film better mostly for nostalgic reasons.
All the lore this film builds is maybe my favorite thing about it with all the different spider mans, and unique designs with basically all of them. It’s just such a massive scale of a film for an animated film and I love it for that.
While we have a while till we get the next film sadly, at least we have these 2 masterpieces to go back to every-time we need a dose of this fantastic franchise.
This film has been and always will be one of my favorite films ever. This wait for the next film might kill me but we’ll be there for it when it releases.

]]>Mission Impossible has been a film series I’ve always wanted to watch and I have finally gotten to watching the first film and it did not disappoint in fact it was better than I expected.
With the many plot twists in this film, I was bound to love it cause man do I love plot twists. The fantastic dialogue and screenplay allow for some of my favorite plot twists I’ve seen in a while.
The characters in this film are great too. Ethan Hunt being one of the most iconic characters ever in my opinion and I knew that without even watching any of the films. The great villains and there’s even great side characters. It’s honestly impressive how solid all around every character is.
I’m so excited to see where this franchise goes throughout my watch of it before the next film comes out in theaters.
]]>Considering in of how much I rewatched this in the span of 1.5 months like 2 months ago, it’s relatively been a while since I’ve watched this. This is probably the most I’ve watched a film in the span of 5 months ever I think this is my 7th rewatch so far.
I truly think this film is a masterpiece and it means so much to me. Kristen Stewart is fucking flawless and gives my favorite performance out of her career so far.
The film to put it simply is just visually breathtaking, has such a good color palette and such good color grading. The score is one of my favorites ever lowkey, like every scene that score just makes it so much more like tense or whatever the mood it’s trying to push in certain scenes it works to perfection, genuinely a perfect score. The cinematography in this film is also really good and you can feel the emotions through the way the film is shot at times and that makes it just so perfect for me. I also loved in most of the performances how good their body language was, especially Kristen Stewart but most had good body language too.
Spencer is a film I think every Kristen Stewart fan should see in my opinion, she genuinely should have won an Oscar for this in my opinion. Also last thing this film definitely has one of my favorite endings ever with such an immaculate vibes, ALL I NEED IS MIRACLE!!!!!
If you haven’t seen Spencer pls watch it.

]]>This review may contain spoilers.
Wow Ryan Coogler this truly is your magnum opus in my opinion.
What he did with this film is absolutely amazing, incredible, and way more positive words. Sinners is truly a modern masterpiece, it blends so many genres with the main ones being Horror/Thriller and kinda romance, but it also has way more. This film although never that horrifying but it does have it’s moments is one of my favorite horror films of all time already while some might say recency bias, no it’s not, this is that good trust me please.
This film had so many different cultures in it that blend with the film perfectly, especially in the scene where Sammy sings where it had so many different cultures and different personalities and many more different things in one scene, it represented so many things and it did it so cool and beautifully. The main thing I wanna talk about though is how it incorporated themes of blues music and race together. The history or blues music is so interesting to me, with me being a huge music enthusiast and a huge fan of Jazz Rap, blues has always been one of my main interests in music history. I always found southern blues to be a very interesting thing due to all the influence it has on music throughout time, I one of my favorite Disney films as a child was Princess and the Frog for many things but one of those being the music in it. This film incorporated blues in it to perfection in my opinion and it sounded beautiful too, it touched on the culture of the blues especially how it brought African Americans together during the 1920s and 1930s in the south. The score is definitely one of my favorites all time, I will definitely be listening to it as much as I do with La La Land’s soundtrack. I truly love this film for its soundtrack and the way it incorporated many cultures into it and the fact they did it to perfection visually and in general.
This film is definitely my favorite vampire film I’ve seen ever, it just overall is the best one, I also definitely liked the design of the vampire a lot. Man holy shit thought this film was definitely freaky💀. Hailee Steinfeld’s character in that scene in the closet literally fucking spit into the mouth of Michael B. Jordan’s character, when I tell you my mouth dropped, aye but I’m not hating it🫣, ahem anyways and there was more but that’s already freaky enough. Overall though the vampire design in the film is really peak.
The performances are great, I think Michael B. Jordan definitely has the best performance of the year so far, he plays basically 2 characters at once, and he’s phenomenal in both of the roles. Hailee Steinfeld is also fucking fantastic, she’s perfection, she plays her character to perfection in every way and I doubt it could’ve been casted any better, Miles Caton is also fantastic in the film I can’t wait to see more from him if he does more. The cast as a whole is just flawless in my opinion.
The characters are also flawless. The twins are written so well and their bond is one of my favorite things of the film and I know it’s the same man playing both of them but the chemistry is on point. Sammy played by Miles Caton is also fantastic, my favorite character from the film probably. Once again the rest of the characters as a whole are also flawelss.
Visually this film is surprisingly stunningly beautiful. The color grading is so beautiful and overall the color palette is perfect for the setting. Those shots especially toward the end of the film mostly with the sunrise and the flame tornado are shot to perfection. The film is beautiful and has flawless cinematography. Simply put this film is visually stunning.
The dialogue and screenplay are superb, I loved the dialogue in every scene especially the scenes where they try to figure out who are vampires and who are not.
To wrap up this review, Sinners is a modern horror masterpiece, everyone who can see this, should see this, if this film flops at the box office somehow or doesn’t do that well, I won’t even know what to say.
Holy shit that trailer is so fucking peak, marvel might be back🙏🙏🙏.
]]>I did not like the first Smile film much, so I came into watching this film expecting the same results or a little better or little worse.
I am really surprised but I enjoyed this way more than the first one. I thought it was written better and had an overall better premise/plot, I also enjoyed the characters more mostly but they still were not the best in my opinion. I think the stakes being higher with this film also helped me like it better. I overall though just thought this was better than the first film.
Some of the things I did not like about this film:
1. Lighting
2. Visual effects
The lighting in this film simply put, in my opinion is just bland and there’s nothing special about it, while it’s mostly just the natural lighting it was as mostly just ugly to me at most times like flat.
The visual effects although not used much were mediocre, I especially noticed this in the car crash scene.
I definitely liked this better than the first one, I’m excited to see where they go with the third film regarding the ending of this.

“I just feel so alone, even when I'm surrounded by other people.” Might just one of the most relatable quotes in a film.
Sofia Coppola is so goated, every film I’ve seen from her so far has been very good, I think I like Virgin Suicides better than this but, Lost in Translation is amazing still.
The film uses Tokyo and Japan overall visually to perfection with so many beautiful shots exerting many emotions through these shots.
The dialogue is fantastic and the screenplay is also fantastic. My favorite thing about this film is probably the performances from Scarlett Johansson and Bill Murray. Both of them use body language to perfectly show what their characters are feeling at that moment and I love it.
Overall Lost In Translation is an excellent film about longing for connection and things like loneliness, at least that’s what I got from it, I loved this film and definitely recommend it everybody.

Warfare was great it showed the effects of shell shock visually really well through the use of cinematography and acting too and also sound design.
The first thing I loved about this film was the excellent cast and overall acting/performances. Will Poulter, Kit Connor, Cosmo Jarvis, Michael Gandolfini, Joseph Quinn, Charles Melton, and more. The cast as a whole are fantastic and all give flawless performances especially showing the shell shock factor of war.
The sound design in this film is so fucking good up there with Heat and maybe even better, the guns sound so loud and the bullet casings dropping too make it even better imo. Also the way they make the audio like sound weird when after an explosion or them just dealing with shell shock is a really good addition to the film.
The film also really does the cinematography well, it adds to the chaotic feeling of the fight a bunch which excels the film.
The dialogue and body language are really solid too, I’ve never been in the military but it does seem like they put the effort in to make it realistic to the way they act in a fight with how they touch each other to tell them they can move now or it’s clear. Overall I think the film really does a good job making it feel realistic.
Overall Warfare is an excellent war film and I can’t wait to see more from Alex Garland and also more from this stellar cast.
The best film I’ve seen from 2025 so far.
Next film will probably be Sinners on Friday or Thursday.
5/5
