Spencer transports you to another world. It doesn't feel like it was made in 2021. With Spencer being filmed on 16mm and 35mm cameras It gives off the tone and feeling of Barry Lyndon and Fanny and Alexander. You are always given this eerie and unwelcome feeling throughout the whole film. Every frame feels intentional and thoughtful. Stewarts performance is absolutely beautiful, mesmerizing and scary. She deserves to be talked about with this award worth performance. Spencer is such a work of art and I can't wait to watch it again.
I'm going to keep it real with you, I fell asleep during good bit of this movie and went to the restroom twice during the runtime. This being one of the nice leather recliners at AMC my fat ass was nice and happy maybe too happy.
