Denis Villeneuve's follow-up to the 2021 film that covered the first half of Frank Herbert's novel shows Villeneuve going into broader lengths to play into a young man's conflict as he deals with being this messianic figure for an entire planet wanting revenge as well as dealing with his own humanity, future, and the past as it is a tremendous film from Villeneuve who ups the ante. Even as the stakes become more intense as does the drama both political and emotional with top-notch technical work from its team, Hans Zimmer's snarling music score, and a great ensemble cast as it is a film that has to be seen on the big screen.
