a few really hilarious set pieces and good use of wait time. no emotional attachment, humor, or visual candy in the first 10-15 minutes but I get it. It’s not PT Anderson here. if you’re a fan, bask in this one’s cool air.

feels like: when you wake up on a Saturday, have nothing on your calendar, no one depends on you, and you can follow your every whim without having to consult a soul or fear of judgement. 

smells like: mustache wax, concrete after a hard rain, packing peanuts 

sounds like: kisses on the lips, gasping with guttural cringe, your best friend’s laughter

10/10. a movie for this moment: exactly when I needed it most.

the movie cover has a demon on it, but I didn’t see a single one. maybe if they turned an overhead light on i would have seen it? if you’re wearing a necklace you found from a hole in your bedroom wall, which now stinks like dead bodies, this movie will advise you on the next steps.
