I’ve never experienced a movie like this before. The harsh digital camcorder works so well for a story like this and I like that it’s still shot like a real movie. Sometimes I could not tell what was going on because of the quality and that just adds to the panic and uncertainty of the zombie apocalypse. A true all-star cast brings so much weight to these performances as they’re put through the deepest extent of human suffering. I really like that this turned into a rescue movie in the final part of it and those soldiers got what they deserved! Maybe there is still some good left in the world.

I like that you can take the ending however you want to. It’s happy in a sense because they’re smiling at each other and you can tell they’re genuinely proud of each other. On the other hand you still sense their sadness in being apart from each other. Just masterful writing in my honest opinion. Still one of my favorite movies!

Almost anything would be better than the steaming pile of crap that was The Final Destination, but I really dug this one in its own right! I really liked how the characters fought each other to cheat death again. Something none of the other films went into. Overall pretty damn good for a Final Destination film!

Fantasy is my fav genre by far and Studio Ghibli always brings a certain whimsicality that cannot be replicated. With that being said I was surprised with the gore displayed, Ghibli films never shy away from dark themes but I’m not used to limbs being cut and shot off LMAO. I loved it tho and hope to see more gore and adult themes in their other films I still have to watch! I’m so lucky to have now seen two Ghibli films for the first time in theaters and I hope this isn’t the last!
