“I'd like to quit thinking of the present, like right now, as some minor, insignificant preamble to somethin' else.”

just absolutely classic in every way, shape and form. a perfect movie to watch before MDW. the holiday will forever give that “school’s out” vibe and the ever so close turn of summer that follows. the movie is perfectly paired. it’s filled with great characters that show all the sides of the high school experience from the geeks, to the jocks,…

tries to balance genres by being a slasher rom com but just fails at both for me. pretty forgettable.

I found this very boring. Some of the kills were interesting, but that's about all I can really say about it.

that shitpost a while back ranking each of the best picture nominees by how much fanfic was posted on ao3? I was thinking about that the whole time. This is, like, a very fanfiction-able movie.

Mom and I both agreed this would be an insane musical

Was not expecting intersex bishop but ykw we ball

Fantastic set-up but kinda loses steam and like most movies of this type didn't go crazy enough imo

Surprisingly funny, and utterly stupid, but in an enjoyable way. Colin Firth and Hugh Grant in their ultimate romcom forms, you can’t beat it.

Jason? Where's Jason?
We took care of it.

RIP Lar Park-Lincoln

This has never been one of my favorites of the franchise but it’s still solid. Honestly there’s not a bad film in the original 8, just different levels of enjoyment to each. I’d watch a low tier
Friday the 13th movie over most movies any day

I damn near forgot everyone’s name besides Childs and MacReady. I always have fun watching this movie I think it does a pretty good job of building paranoia among the crew and not allowing the audience to be able to guess who the thing is. All of the practical effects were sick as fuck and gross. The score was intimidating and had surreal moments to it which I think reflects the experience of the men at the outpost well. Someone teach those fucking Norwegians how to aim a gun !!

Fantastic companion to Alien, I appreciate new details every time I rewatch. Horror creature classic.
