Predator: Killer of Killers

That was awesome. This anthology film worked perfectly for the predator franchise, it follows the same formula but this time in different eras. The viking era was great, I absolutely loved the brother fight in the samurai era with my favourite character and the ww2 era had some cool dogfights. The animation style worked great with the violence of the Predator. They were all so beefy and thick. The culmination of the stories in that big fight on the planet…

This stays true to the spirit of the original 1966 Batman TV series, complete with the goofy antics, over-the-top ‘old and outdated' dialogues, and campy charm. But honestly, I just couldn’t take it. I’ve never been a fan of that version of Batman, and this only reinforced why. Not for me.

This is why Dan Trachtenberg is one of my favorite directors. He just knows exactly what I want to see. Predator: Killer of Killers has awesome animation, thrilling and clever action sequences and offers some subtle lore for the classic monster. I can’t wait for Badlands! Also we finally got Michael Biehn in a Predator movie. He’s fought the Terminator, Alien and now Predator.

Batman vs Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

The animation vibes hit that Batman Unlimited style, familiar costumes but not quite my taste, especially Bruce’s face, which felt off. A neat touch was Batman’s chair in the Batcave with the headrest shaped like bat ears, cool detail! The Gotham villains got a wild mutant makeover: Poison Ivy as a plant mutant, a Leopard/Cheetah Bane, Freeze as a polar bear, Jonathan Crane as a mutant crow, a two-faced SWAT cat duo, hyena Harley, and a snake Joker. It's a…

Tamagotchi, camcorders, boy bands, Destiny’s Child. I wasn’t expecting this movie to take place in the early 2000s. Turning Red is absolutely delightful. Breathtaking animation, funny and cute visual gags and a really great message. Just because the older generation couldn’t accept themselves doesn’t mean we can’t. Always be yourself and don’t dwell on changes. I’m excited to see this director’s next Pixar project!

By this point Pixar had already proven themselves to be more than just fun animation but then Brad Bird took it even further with The Incredibles. Using that Pixar magic to create a superhero story with so many different genre elements. Michael Giacchino crafted one of the greatest and unique scores ever. Perfectly capturing the essence of each genre. Retro sci-fi mixed with superhero epic, a dash of the spy genre and tied all together with a wholesome story about family.

I didn't find this episode to be funny. This season was alright. I'm just glad I'm done with it as most of it was pretty mediocre.

A bloody good episode. The animation was absolutely gorgeous. This is one of the better military episodes of this show.

Monsters, Inc was my first DVD. I exploring every menu and behind the scenes content it had to offer. I haven’t revisited it in years but as soon as the awesome opening credits started I knew it would be a delightful trip down memory lane. Imaginative storytelling, perfect voice casting and packed with heart and humor. The conveyor belt of doors is still one of the most creative action set pieces ever.

When Buzz Lightyear and Zurg begin to fight and the sound effects are toy noises. That has to be the funniest joke ever written into a kid’s movie. Toy Story 2 is a perfect sequel.
