Josh Lewis’s review published on Letterboxd:
Yes, I am at the point where I am willing to go to a 35mm print rep screening of any generically shot, mediocre wide-release studio movie from 2011 just to experience what was stolen from us in the digital conversion…What we all took for granted not even that long ago… Anyway, pretty obvious Jake carry job that kinda falls apart every time it tries to transition into a talky, smart post-9/11 sci-fi conspiracy or troop sentimentality film but still pretty fun in high-concept Murder on the Deja Vu Express thriller mode. Moves along slickly, accumulates investigative detail well, and it of course gets that "movie that mostly takes place on a train" bump. Also, it’s no Denzel and Paula but the romantic element with Monaghan works well enough despite her being given basically nothing. The dictionary definition of a 3-star classic. So sick when people were briefly hyping this dude up as like the next Kubrick.
