Fallen Leaves

Aki Kaurismäki's latest work is surprisingly positive! Nevertheless, a typical Kaurismäki film from front to back, which strongly follows his proletarian trilogy. The set designs, the characters and the music are once again great - and with Maustetytöt there was even (at least for me) a new musical discovery.

One Last Evening

Döner for one, pasta for the rest. One last Generation-Y dinner with friends(?) in Hannover, depression and laughter so close. Clearing books off the shelf is more than just saying goodbye.

„You have to go to the real world. You can go back to your regular life, and forget any of this ever happened. Or you can know the truth about the universe“ (Weird Barbie)

„I don’t have anything big planned. Just a giant blowout party with all the Barbies, and planned choreography, and a bespoke song. You should stop by.“ (Barbie)

Come on Barbie, let‘s go party!

A wild mix of everything! Love it (I usually hate movies in which characters sing).
Thanks, Axel Ranisch, for another great movie!
