"And that's, beautiful Sci-Fi shit" - Denis Villeneuve

Dune 2 is peak Modern Sci-Fi.

Denis Villeneuve delivers part 2 to his adaptation of Dune, and it hits all nails in coffins that we wanted from part one, so hard, that even it went past my expectations. This was truly one of those "Wow, that was a moment in cinema" movies.

Villeneuve paints a picture of what is a magnificent sequel, including a PHENOMENAL score from Hans Zimmer, but also capturing Si-Fi with the best imaginable shots and color palettes. The beauty of this movie is unreal, and the way it is approached, whether it was a black and white filter scene, or whether it was a scene in the desert, this film was beautifully crafted, and have some of my favorite shots ever fermented in my head.

The cast was phenomenally executed. Timothée Chalamet delivers a performance involving amazing character development, and depicts the character of Paul Atreides as he transforms from a boy to a man and leads Arrakis. Austin Butler delivered also an amazing performance as the Baron Vladimir's nephew Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen. He delivers on levels of evil that are just so enjoyable to watch unfold, and the fight between him and Paul in the end was so well executed. The rest of the cast with Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Stellan Skarsgârd, and Florence Pugh, the delivered on great levels for their characters and the arc of the plot and franchise that Villeneuve wants to deliver.

This was truly one of my favorite theater experiences, especially as a day one watch, and it was truly spectacular witnessing something so grand and unique. Denis Villeneuve is truly, the master of modern day Sci-Fi...

(And this is the best Sci-Fi movie of the 21st century)
