“I see me as a child. I see my brother. True. Kind. He died when he was 19.”

Within the bounds of Malick’s masterpiece the importance of logic fades into a free-flowing canvas of pure emotion and experience. A boy’s life, his mother, his father, his brothers. I see Jack and I see myself, pulled between the same two worlds of my father’s emotionally cold nature and my mother’s careful grace.

The action, the suspense, the set pieces…some of the best…

Read somewhere online that this, number 3, and Dead Reckoning are the three movies to watch before Final Reckoning. Unfortunately, J.J. Abrams directed the third one and so it’s impossibly mid despite PHILLIP SEYMOUR HOFFMAN the GOAT starring in it, so I’m opting for 2/3 of those rewatches.

Opinions haven’t reallllly changed on this one. I like it! The opening is still excellent and I think if I feel any different about anything it’s that I have even more love…
