well if only they speak singlish this would have five stars! the plot somewhat reminds me of 80s-90s HK movie, buddy cop too maybe. a lot of fun. gotta applaud the way they draw hainanese chicken rice and kaya toast set! too bad they donβt add $1 ice cream bread! also love story between kyogoku and sonoko is just cute af. love this movie lots

nonton jesedef tuh sedih buat gue karena ya... kenapa sih lagi-lagi "move on"-nya orang berduka tuh harus digambarin dengan siap jalin hubungan dengan orang baru... kan ga harus begitu. i think grief is sumn deeply personal and to have it like that feels like a desecration. gue merasa film jaman sekarang kurang eksplor soal duka dan berkabung, tapi ya gue bisa ngerti sih. gak semua orang kehilangan yang kayak gitu. kebanyakan masih bisa dicari, masih bisa ketemu lagi. trus soal romansanya di kepala aja..... emang salah ya? romanticizing for the sake of asikin aja? kayak kata anak sekarang "selama ga mengganggu warga" kan gapapa ya.... (well di film ini ganggu sih wkwk)
in all bagus sih, gue suka. apalagi part julie bilang "bagus ini emang orangnya nyebelin ya?" WKWKWK banyak dialognya julie yang gue suka pokoknya. emang girl crush sejati gue hhh LOPYU
selain itu komedinya juga dapet wkwk lucunya ngga maksa dan relatable. terutama pas pak yoram bawain laptop "kali aja kamu kangen kerja" HAHAHAHA BAJINGAAAANNN (intense flashback) πππ

]]>After seeing some people made similar list (especially Rachel) I decided to make one myself. Please read notes and get to know me more. This list is ongoing, will be added as time goes by.
I was born in the year this movie released. Now that I think of it, probably it's why I have so much fondness over Michael Keaton and Michelle Pfeiffer. I was also raised as a DC fan in a way that I was more familiar with DC's characters as opposed to Marvel. But look at me now.
I LOVE Conan. A lot. I still collect all of the mangas and try to watch the movie whenever it's on cinema or TV. I used to love a lot of anime-manga but lost track of them for the longest time since I couldn't keep up. Nowadays I only follow a handful of titles and they're not as tight as Conan is. To mention a few: Naruto and Attack on Titan. And my all-time classics would be X/1999 and Cardcaptor Sakura.
Anyway, this movie is my ultimate fave out of all Conan movies.
Back in my childhood, it was either Bollywood or Chinese movies. This one is probably my fave despite it's more 'recent'. Back then the craze was God of Gambler series or Jackie Chan's movies and Shahrukh Khan's movies. I don't watch a lot of them right now since I kind of fell out of love but I know I'll always have soft spot for them.
Catch me running to watch it whenever it's on TV. I just love it too much.
Back when I was in Junior High School my mom gifted me extra money to use for no reason. This movie was showing and I am curious so I bought a ticket to watch. I think it sparked my curiosity and newfound love over movies in general. I started to pay attention to movies showing on TV and memorizing who's who. It was so fun.
I am grateful to ever experience the era where romantic comedy was so huge. Because of them (and early 2000s rock bops) I had the best teenage years that shaped me to who I am today. This movie will forever be my favorite because it's light yet dreamy, straight out of a sap's dream lol Also, this is the era where most of the dreamy leading male became superheroes a decade later. Forever grateful for that.
I feel like I should include this because:
A. It has Chris Evans,
B. It has Michelle Pfeiffer,
C. It has Jason Statham,
D. It has Chris Evans.
Chris Evans caught my eyes so hard. I think he was promising and I believe there's more to him than this action flick. And the more I watched his movies each year I am confirmed. It just occurred naturally because his movies were sometimes broadcasted on TV. I grew fond of him and I began to look forward to his next stint.
I am a subtitler in one of TV cable provider in my country. In short, I translate all of the shows/movies on different channels. This was one of my first translated movies and the one that got me loving Robert Downey, Jr. I he was so unique and quirky in a good way and he caught my eyes, I vowed to watch his latest movie on cinema once it's out. Little did I know it was the start of the ongoing love affair.
This was the latest movie of Robert Downey, Jr. back then. I having heart eyes because most of the actors were familiar faces I used to see in my youth: Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, even Samuel L. Jackson. It's a bonus that the movie is very very good and memorable. I came home with a new level of appreciation to cinema and Marvel and the actors. And years later I am still sitting at the end of the (credit) line.
So I basically owe everything to The Avengers. Because of them, I started to go to the cinema regularly and appreciate the magic in the huge black box with the super widescreen.
Despite my love towards anime-manga, I'm not into western animations eventhough I enjoyed their movies a lot. I'm more into Tom and Jerry when Disney was all about princesses and kingdoms. Don't get me wrong. I love Mulan but their movies weren't my taste back then. Until Up came. I watched it with my then-father's girlfriend and we bawled on the first third. It left a very deep impression on me and it's my all-time favorite western animation movie (Kubo and The Two Strings came second)

]]>Me, a Marvel Cinematic Universe aficionado, choosing the best of the rest. They're all my sons and daughters anyway. Rating is completely subjective and weighs on what's more enjoyable on the long run rather than being the best of them all. Despite being solid and all-rounded also add to the factor, I think there's a bit of sentimental feeling to each of it. So really, don't take it seriously.
PS. Would love to know if you already made one. Please drop yours in the comment x
