I don't know anything about the video game and from what I understand there's little to nothing connecting it to the original video game and tbh I don't care. I really enjoyed this movie. I love time loops in general so the concept intrigued me and I think it did the loop in a fun and unique way. The characters all felt like actual people and I think the pacing was good. Very solid 4 stars for me!
Não tem relação alguma com o jogo — então quem veio esperando referências diretas ao universo original, pode esquecer. Mas, dentro da proposta de uma nova história, até que entrega algo interessante. A ideia do ciclo sem fim de vida e morte é bem angustiante, e isso acaba sendo o ponto forte do filme, chega a dar uma sensação de sufoco em certos momentos.
Não é revolucionário, mas soube usar bem sua ideia central. A sensação de desespero é palpável e, apesar de alguns tropeços no ritmo e no desenvolvimento de certos personagens, é uma experiência que vale a pena para quem gosta de suspense psicológico.

Cabin in the Woods on a Time Loop = Until Dawn the movie. Has an unsettling atmosphere and random kills but does devolve into silliness as the plot unravels. A guilty pleasure movie if you're extremely forgiving. And yeah, they shouldn't have called this "Until Dawn" as that just ticks off fans of the "choices-matter" driven PS4 survival horror.
