this movie was one of the major ones on my list of never before seen famous movies, and after some college plans fell through as they like to, i decided to sit in my living room and finally watch this one.
WHAT THE FUCK MAN. GOD DAMN THIS SHIT WAS BRUTAL. but it was simultaneously one of the best and most engrossing movies i have seen in a very very long time (harakiri rewatch excluded). holy shit man. and that story flowed so well i barely noticed any run time at all
pure villain on villain plots with a witty script so razor sharp the words cut if you get in a 5ft radius. pure scums of the earth on both sides. i miss when dialogue was this sharp as the norm
this was a fun gangster romp with a bunch of twists and turns and double crosses with a whole lot of real sharp wit surrounding it. pretty good. reminds me of yojimbo like some reviews said
Another Coen-Sonnenfeld-Burwell banger. Some of the most intense sequences I’ve ever seen. Some great nods to the films of yesteryear and an immersive imagining of the late 1920s.

Beautiful movie. Beautiful score. Incredible script and performances. Gary is so restrained. Cumberbatch crying gets me every time. My favorite part is always the closing montage with La Mer.
oh my god man. genuine life changing cinema. the imax screen set my soul on fire. more words cannot describe the impact this has had on me watching it in the most special of ways. happy anniversary interstellar. my soul is on fire
Can’t believe it took me this long to see this. Not totally sure what to make of it but it was really beautiful. Gotta love that Coen sense of humor. Simultaneously sad and funny (just like real life).
P.S. Stark Sands, I love you but don’t think your Tim Blake Nelson in Oh Brother impression went unnoticed.
