I see the vision, they should have trusted you, Zack Snyder. 

Lemme start with the negative. The last part is followed by the epilogue. Which finished well. Then randomly followed with 13 minutes of bullshit. Seriously terrible last 13 minutes. 

This is the type of film where batman takes hours to even get in costume once, its a slow burn which is awfully strange for a superhero movie of this level. Multiple scenes that feel unnecessary.

Holy Shrek, what?

I never expected a Shrek film to be good again after 2, no offence to the 4th of the main franchise. But dreamworks seem to be a master at sequels. 

Spider-verse influence aside, the animation is gorgeous, the action is fun as hell, loved that one with the camera ‘attached’ to the map. The scenes all mostly blend into each other which is only a little jarring at times. Oh and even tho it doesn’t get into…

My interpretation isn’t complex but I liked this enough to write it down. I think this film is the exploration of isolation and paranoid mania. With a deeper layer of truth or “light”. There’s plenty of different types of light in this film 

The literal shining light of the lighthouse. the light and morale boosting moments that the two characters share together when heavily drunk. The light being shone on some of the darker secrets. Hell, there’s even some gaslighting…
