Upon rewatching, Dune: Part 1 remains a captivating movie in of visuals and plot. I enjoyed the performances of all the primary participants. It does a great job of setting the tone for the franchise. I am reading the book for the first time, and comparing and contrasting many differences is interesting. I appreciate Denis Villeneuve's choices to represent the different cultures within the film. The theme is well communicated. It does a great job of building anticipation for Part 2.
