Mission: Impossible Franchise Ranked!
Movies I've Seen In Theaters
Don't love this as a final entry to the revolutionary Mission: Impossible franchise, though The Final Reckoning still proved to be an undeniable blast. Aside from the disted, "member-berry" style editing rearing its head with the opening montage, the references across this never seemed to interfere with the central narrative. Richard Ayoade did not play a character in this. He played Fidel Castro if Fidel Castro was Richard Ayoade.
Who knew that , India, and Japan were an unshakable triumvirate?
Momentarily entertaining if I had to simplify this one.
This was made far worse by rewatching the original last week. The main issue I have is the MI is typically awesome because the stunts are plausible, well-thought out, and wicked cool. And that is true of most of the series. But this one, ehh. The continued issues of modern action movies persist: unnecessary flashing images, lack of conversation/dialogue, flat (and generally pointless) characters, and drawn out sequences that leave no room for the audience to breath. Wildly long framing for The Interlude, which let's be honest, was the best part of the entire movie and clearly meant to be the main plot and not a side quest.
Nic Cage Masterclass omfg he’s so damn funny. Scrap the corny narrator and some straight to dvd humor and this is lowkey one of the funniest movies ever.
it was funny but man people in the theater were GUFFAWING
"what the fuuuuck..?"
I literally had a conversation with my wife last night about how we need to go on more adventures.. thank god I wasn't listening to Slipknot at the time too
