SO I've never actually seen any of the HTTYD movies and I just watched the first one since the live action is coming out soon.
And I must say it really does deserve all the praise it gets, and OMG the bond between Hiccup and Toothless reminds me too much of me and my cat :)
And ngl I'm absolutely obsessed with the soundtrack, it's perfect, especially the song Sticks & Stones.

Ohana means family, but what ohana doesn’t mean is that you can walk across the sea floor without a fucking oxygen tank like you’re super human. Unbelievable breath work routine. I hysterically laughed multiple times (in the wrong places). To be honest, I don’t blame Dean Fleischer Camp for doing Marcel and then running head first into a Disney pay check. This might just be one of the stupidest films I’ve ever seen.
I mean, if I had a nickel for every video game movie I’ve seen where one of the characters gets into a freaky romantic relationship with one of the video game characters, I’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice, right?

I like the first film as a comedy more (although there's still plenty of genuinely funny scenes here), but Shrek 2 has the better emotional beats.
