SO I've never actually seen any of the HTTYD movies and I just watched the first one since the live action is coming out soon.

And I must say it really does deserve all the praise it gets, and OMG the bond between Hiccup and Toothless reminds me too much of me and my cat :)
And ngl I'm absolutely obsessed with the soundtrack, it's perfect, especially the song Sticks & Stones.

I like the first film as a comedy more (although there's still plenty of genuinely funny scenes here), but Shrek 2 has the better emotional beats. That scene of Shrek being kept up at night by his insecurities about his love for Fiona as "I Need Some Sleep" plays in the background is perhaps one of the most striking moments in the Dreamworks Animation library.
