Expectations were sky high after Dead Reckoning and this one just didn't land. The pacing is all over the place. The writing and dialogue have moments of pure trash. The run time is purposefully extended without reason. Several scenes drag on and you're thinking OK I get it let's go already. That's the bad...
The good is exactly what SHOULD be done by the best action franchise ever created. The action. The stunts were incredible. That plane scene had me edge of the seat.
Tom Cruise did his thing. But his acting Def was sub par here even for him.
Pom Klementieff is a dam star she is so lovable even when all she wants to do is stab people.
Simon Pegg might be the scene stealer here. So well done.
Still holds up as a masterclass in action cinema.

Philip Seymour Hoffman is what makes this so great. The action is spectacular. The scale gets ramped up significantly and Tom Cruise handles it with ease. This is the movie that cemented him as an action franchise monster.

The English version has Mark Hamill and Jim Cummings (the guy who voices Tigger) voicing the villains and it's incredible. This is a very good early Miyazaki film. It has elements of greatness but not quite a solid home run. The characters are enjoyable and the animation is always on point.

I didnt even know this was a Broadway show before the movie came out. Visually quite great. I'm not a big musical fan but this was well done. Ariana Grande has some pipes on her that's been well known but her acting chops here were on point. She was very funny.
