Genuinely one of the cheapest-looking movies I have ever seen from a major studio. The Asylum mockbuster of Megamind couldn’t look any worse than this. (It couldn’t sound any worse either; the dude voicing Megamind sounds more like me than Will Ferrell.)

Scene after scene takes place on the streets of Metro City, which looks flat, and drab, and completely abandoned. There are no pedestrians or bystanders (or wall decorations, or labels on supermarket products). Megamind and the Doom Syndicate are fighting over control of a ghost town. It’s like a movie set in a less foggy version of the Superman Nintendo 64 game.

They took 14 years to produce a Megamind sequel, and this is what they came up with? What happened here?
