I came prepared for the body horror sequences and it did not disappoint. I was disgusted in a very good way. Such a shame that this was a mess. First off, this is an example of how non-trans or non-queer artists should not tell trans stories. A lot of depth and characterization was lost to superficial portrayal of being a transgender woman in Mexico, which is predominantly Catholic by the way. There's just less focus on the struggle of gender dysphoria and the issues of drug-related violence glossed over it.

As a musical, it was horrible. It didn't work for me…
