Last Halloween, I wished myself better luck with the spooky movie-viewing next year. That didn't turn out so well.

I've had a number of ambitious and theoretically stimulating projects on the back burner for a while now, several of them horror-related. But if I'm being honest I've been in a continued low-level depression long before the constant anxiety exacerbated by being an immunocompromised essential worker during (gestures listlessly) all this left me able to do little else other than grind my way joylessly through the Critically Acclaimed Bingeworthy TV Shows category on Netflix.

Hence several silent flicks and a couple of cartoons for a half-hearted Halloween, all of which I've seen before, and none of which I expect to have much to say about. Here's hoping there's a next year.
