It’s hard to make a truly anti-war movie outside of maybe something like Come and See, but I think this does a good job. I just say that since at the end of the day with war movies, there’s usually a lot of camaraderie in them and the people who want to associate positively with it will.  

This isnt on the level of Apocalypse Now for me, but I always really love the Vietnam War movies that capture the US as this overwhelming force, capable of destroying everything but not advancing anything meaningful, destroying itself in the process.

A long period of this movie is the motorcycle sketch from I Think You Should Leave, except he thinks all vehicles are steads

Simply had to bump this up to 1 star for this incredible holiday recipe

-One half bowl of snow (hard, ice texture)
-Half a cup of cream
-Pinch of sugar
-Enough vanilla extract to turn the entire mixture brown

Mix for 10 seconds until creamy :)

Incredible performances all round and beautifully shot.

It’s rare that I cry at movies, but this one got me at the end. When his Dad tells him he’s proud of him, it reminded me of all the times my Mom has said that my Dad would have been so proud of whatever silly little accomplishment I’ve had.

I think about when my Dad was on his death bed, he ed away half way through telling a story. It wasn’t some cliffhanger…
