A reminder of what cinema can, and often should be. Doesn’t give up any emotion or power from its authentic moments for oscar-bait schlock, and remains cohesive as far as mood and messages to all the way through. The vintage 70s grain, soundtrack, and overall production emphasize the personality of the film, and make the messages far more powerful than they could be in a contemporary matter. Incredible production quality, cinematography, score, writing, acting, the list goes on. But most importantly, a film thriving with humanity.

From what I’ve seen, arguably Wes’ most intelligent as well as artistic film. One that you have to put your mind into that really goes into journalism In a fun and artistic way.
