Seeing this the first time as a teen at like age 14 was only going to lead to dissapointment with the hype/myth around this film.

Quite enjoyed it this time! Loved some of the stylistic choices. Second half almost felt like camp sometimes with the over-the-top action but still fun overall!

Loved the design of the decayed castle and the robots, almost felt like religious imagery sometimes

Neither funny nor scary. There is no flow to the story at all, things just kind of happen.

Maybe too sleepy but I didnt really care about the romance between the mains, but I loved everything else. The side characters, music, the colourful scenery

Very interesting time capsule. I enjoyed the very limited use of text on screen, letting scenes play out in silence with characters interacting.

Really suprised how invested I was, also happy to live in times with a 4k television at home
