I really liked it when they were traipsing through the desert in their little boots and socks (this was most of the film)

v elegantly done — sticks to a really clear narrative while also allowing for tensions & complications. doesn't try too hard to turn its subjects into heroes, so you get all the humour and irritation alongside the anger and ion and courage. very beautiful, very warm, what a cool story!

what a joy it is to see tom hollander when you weren't expecting to!

everything feels inevitable in this and that's quite fun. ethan gets called 'the living manifestation of destiny'. last time it was impossible to hack into the server room from the inside and this time it's impossible to get in from the outside. there's a flute that is actually a gun and nessun dorma is used as BOTH a plot point AND a leitmotif. that's what opera is for, babey! assassination and yearning!
