This is a good big budget sci fi movie that is a follow up for Moon director Duncan Jones. This film is not as good as Moon but still a good example of Hollywood sci fi done well.

Gyllenhall is good. I usually find him a bit wooden, maybe Prince of Persia ruined it for me, but in this he is very good and takes us on an emotional journey with his character. The stand out for me though is Jeffrey Wright who has an excellent focused mean streak. Manipulative and selfish. A great role to flesh out.

There are some huge holes in the plot and logic of this hence the four stars and not five. Without spoiling anything, what about the poor soul of Sean Fentress? Man, that guy gets the short straw. A true innocent lost in the holes of plot devices, never to be be thought of again. Please watch and enjoy but share a thought for the poor soul of Sean Fentress.
