It’s fun but somewhat disappointing. nicholas cage is great and the animatronics are creepy but the good ends there.

not as great as White Castle, but it’s subtle nods and jokes make for a overall entertaining time.
the movie knew what it was and used that to its advantage and made one of the best stoner Christmas comedies.

finally got a chance to see this and i loved it. it never went too over the top and the action was on point and never failed to entertain. Bob Odenkirk is was incredible and sold his character so damn well. also the ending is so satisfying that it makes the briskly paced movie on the years best.
i just wished they did a bit more character development.

I don’t know what to say about this movie. I went in with small expectations and still came out disappointed. It’s a fun movie but it’s corniness and bad writing just really bring it down for me. it’s a laughable movie that is very for kids and nothing for adults. it’s filled to the brim with bad jokes, poor writing, and tons of shitty cliches and CGI.
I feel like I can’t be too harsh on this because it’s not…
while it’s a rather unnecessary sequel, it’s at least enjoyable with its cast and humor. That being said i’m not saying this is some super smart action comedy but more so a dumb, over formulaic and bland action comedy that’s only good aspect is it’s main ensemble.
to give some perspective, if you want to see a movie where Ryan Reyolds plays deadpool and Samuel L Jackson plays Samuel L Jackson, this movie is for you.
just ignore the plot and you’ll be fine.

a pretentious movie about a argument that gets worse and worse as it goes on. In the end you get a phenomenally acted slow burn that tries a bit too hard to make you care.
watch for zendaya’s acting alone.

i saw this movie on tik tok and finally watched it and was too thrilled about it. it has your basic teen melodrama tropes and cliches and never does anything to set itself apart from other young adult movie adaptations.
the acting is the only thing keeping the movie afloat and the score is nice as well. i heard the book is miles better than the movie but is that really a surprise when it comes to movie adaptations of books?
