When it comes to war movies or those based off true events that are military involved, i've always been a big fan. Movies like Saving Private Ryan, Lone Survivor, 13 Hours, Fury, Etc all got me in the genre and ever since I can't get enough of them. That being said, it's safe to say I really liked The Outpost and thoroughly enjoyed it.
The characters are all well developed and the brotherhood between them is a great thing to watch and really makes the movie have an emotional grip. The pacing is quite slow at some moments but with that slowburn mood it really gets out its intense moments. The situation these soldiers were put in is very harrowing and brings up the intensity levels. The action is all really well shot and brings a great amount of realism to the movie with how it's done.
Overall, I really liked The Outpost and while I could nitpick at sometings, it's a great military movie that shows how much these guys went through and it's incredible how they pulled through and came out on top.
It's not the best out there but it's very well done and has a spot in my top 10 for this year for sure.
