I get that a lot of this feels more like “magic” than sci-fi, but I love this movie. Gyllenhaal is gripping, the ideas are super cool, and it’s a movie that’s a ton of fun to talk about. I being so enthralled when I first saw this, and rewatching it with my partner now, it still was so much fun. We even cried at the end, not only from the emotional bits, but from how earnest the movie is. I do enjoy a break from all the bleakness of this genre when the movie is still smart enough to get you thinking.

Source Code is underrated. It’s a “me” movie, and god dammit I love the way Jeffrey Wright says “sOuRcE cOoOoOoDe!”
