Charlie Day does his best Hal Ashby and Ken Jeong tries to carry this on his back, but so many elements just don't click together like they should.

I think if this movie was made 20-30 years ago, it would have been better, but it's a shame to see this one flounder around.

John Malkovich's monologue is funny though.

When I got home after watching this documentary on iMAX, I played my copy of MIU on vinyl, which in my opinion, is the most bland Beach Boys album, and yet I have a certain fondness for the making of this album, after seeing the bootlegged making of documentary, Our Team, which one can find on youtube relatively easily.
