good but the ratings are too high. kinda predictable, still an entertaining watch tho.
extra points for Jaboukie appearance ❤️ that’s my husband ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
]]>loved Ayo’s performance (my Irish princess ☘️) but the movie itself was predictable. great watch off a gummy tho 🙂↕️🙂↕️
]]>it was cute
]]>intense film about the misogyny that pervades Zambian culture. women become villains and, concomitantly, saviors tasked with finding a way to live in a society where men and women all work to hide the sins of men at women’s expense.
the main character’s exodus (not shown) and return to Zambia give a lense to a western audience into the culture, while also keeping it authentic.
great score, pacing could have been better, but amazing storytelling and symbolism. a devastating but important/insightful watch.
]]>the latin brought me right back to catholic school omg 😭 miss my nuns tbh
amazing movie, amazing score, amazing cinematography, amazing pacing, amazing writing, amazing acting wowowowowow
the ending did seem like a bit of a stretch / unconvincing, but I loved it nonetheless and I thought it was clever.
great message about the importance of institutions and the prejudices humans have.
]]>a surrealist / absurdist comedy set in a parallel Winnipeg/Québec where farsi is spoken - funny bits throughout omg love a running joke. 🦃
the film highlights great brutalist architecture in Canada, while also having motifs about the the ridiculousness of North American city planning (e.g. car-centricity). maybe the brutalism was meant to be depressing, but i’ve always liked it.
a very cute story about converging plot lines - great outfits, aesthetics, and storytelling. wes anderson-esque, but also fully its own.
]]>if the movie was only the first hour and had any discernible plot, then 10/10. A24 knows aesthetics.
but beautiful cinematography can only save a movie so much as it devolves into a pseudo-intellectual, pseudo-feminist(?), incestuous ‼️ fantasy.
it tried being too many things at once and, in doing so, became vapid and self indulgent. beautiful filming tho lol I was fully entranced until I was rolling my eyes.
]]>amazing ‼️ i don’t get the bad reviews - obviously they aren’t a gay man who reveres femininity, womanhood, and Pamela Anderson like i do.
great aesthetics and lighting design, touching story, and Brenda Song was v good too. heavier than i thought it would be, but in a good way. 🗿
]]>LMAOOOO😭😭 yeah it’s as bad as everyone says
]]>RAHHH🇮🇪🇮🇪🔥🔥🇮🇪🔥❤️
]]>freaky ahh vampire
]]>what the hell sure
]]>evil Russian twink
]]>“sin dinero nena, no coche, no chica, no tate, no vicio, no rímel... estoy histérica” yeah💜
]]>that was a lot 😭 good! but like insane. loved the casting, aesthetics, and how uncomfy the gore made me. they def could’ve had more faith in the audience tho like the theme of ageism and the commodification of women’s bodies and beauty was so obvious would’ve been nice if it was a little less in-your-face. loved the message and movie regardless tho.
]]>almost an ok movie, it’s a totally sanitized version of the original so like the comedy got pretty gutted but there were a couple good parts and some of the songs were good. original is 10000x better tho obive
]]>this was so bad
]]>the singing i couldn’t do it made it cringy 😭 good besides that tho but it was also dragging on at the end (v long movie, also saw on a plane)
]]>this was good, saw it on a plane. seemed a little ridiculous at times 😭
]]>insane omg this movie got under my skin in the best way i kept getting full body chills / goosebumps 🥶🥶 horror is like spicy food when it’s good it’s soooooo good and this was good i liked it
]]>i liked it (controversial), she fucks fr
]]>terrible but i mean i was entertained ig
]]>zendaya got those twinks on a leash 🥵 amazing score too
]]>🔫🐒 monkey man Dev Patel is so hot, lost a half point bc of that finger touching scene 😭 loved the movie overall tho great story and cinematography imo
]]>like a funny american Saltburn, 100% new cult classic love it.
“your parents are upper middle class!”
]]>why was this so amazing omg
]]>haunting and unsettling
]]>cannibalistic lesbians 🔛🔝‼️❕🥶🥶🤞✊✊ #feminism
]]>reasonable response to what happened to his dog
]]>her rizz is just that good ig
]]>oh no please don’t kill me Mr. Ghostface, i wanna be in the sequel! i love scary movies
]]>like Parasite meets Call Me by Your Name. v good but also v unsettling at times 💀 tbh it’s an overdone social commentary but the cinematography made it entertaining and some scenes were so ridiculous omg 😭😭
]]>HEYYYYYY Miss Parker 🕴️
]]>GAY COWBOY WESTERN BY PEDRO ALMODÓVAR WOWWWWWW very good started slow but it got very good. me encanta un cortometraje 👨💼
also Pedro Pascal’s son was so hot omgggg. apparently this is Almodóvar’s response to Brokeback Mountain, v nice cinematography.

]]>fue interesante, pero un poco aburrido. tmb me hizo extrañar España y a mis amigos/personas que conocí allí. a veces pienso/romantizo tanto sobre ellos (uno en particular) que me preocupa que sea un rezo.
sin embargo, just wasn’t for me idk.
]]>objectively not good at all, but i have a soft spot for horror movies about catholicism. feels weirdly nostalgic
]]>i wanted to like this more. great visuals and aesthetics, but the main guy makes this so cringe 😭 omg hard watch at times it’s too self-indulgent
]]>i am barbie and i am ken! great soundtrack too 💕💗💖
]]>really really good :,) crushing but good
]]>this movie breaks me every time
]]>anne hathaway is such a good homophobe
]]>“you think you’re so cool because you can pee with your penis” - movie is so queer coded we love but like maybe there’s a flaw or two we’re gonna overlook 😳
]]>bad, totally predictable, and daniel craig can’t do a southern accent it’s so cringy. i usually don’t not like movies but this was rough
]]>natasha lyonne ily. rupaul playing a straight guy is cray tho 🫶🫶
]]>she’s just like me fr
]]>was on mute at a house party i was at, super super cool visuals and stuff but couldn’t hear what was going on lol
]]>i’ve never disliked a movie maybe i’m not a good critic. love amy adams too tho.
