Andy Siegel’s review published on Letterboxd:
Watching with an army of friends at the Cinerama was such an incredible experience. Love this film so much. It’s gorgeous and packs a punch in its exploration of power, religion, war, colonialism, and environmentalism.
As an adaptation of the novel, I think it’s a triumph because it creates complex dynamics the source material mostly ignored. In particular, the conflicting ideologies of the Fremen and Chani’s perspective are huge improvements and really make this film sing.
Definitely going back to theater again…and again.
