Non- Spoilers:

Dune Part Two is an absolutely massive and astonishing revelation in cinema. Going into this film, I was ready for an unforgettable cinematic experience, and I came out with one. Not only is this film visually stunning, but it looks 100x better in 70 Millimeter. Dune Part 1 was a good film that established the world and the rise and fall of house Atredies, but left me wanting more plot and meaningful action. This film delivered on all fronts and I came out with exactly what I wanted from this film. I have trust in Denis Villeneuve to make a great franchise as long as he doesn’t milk it out too much. Timothee Chalamet gave his best performance by far, and so did the whole group. The story and politics and action were all at their peak in this film. The cinematography was so well done and the action scenes blew me away. Hans Zimmer makes another score that blows me away and is gonna be played on repeat in my house from now on.

Spoilers:

Dune Part Two had so many mind blowing scenes that left me on the edge of my seat. The scale of this film was giant and left me absolutely amazed. The best scenes had to be the scenes where we got to see the sandworms. I’m still in shock from the sand worm training scene with Paul even after getting out of the cinema. It was such a powerful scene and really developed the Fremen and Paul as characters.

I found it to be quite a right turn to learn that Paul is related to the Harkonnens, but it was executed well. It was how I wanted Rey’s storyline to go and worked for me.

Performances:

The performances in this film were stellar, highlights being Chalamet, Zendaya, Javier Bardem, and Austin Butler. They all give their best performances and absolutely rock in this film. I did like the performances from Florence Pugh, Christopher Walken, and Dave Bautista, but they did deserve more screen time. I expect to see a lot of Walken and Pugh in Massiah.

Plot:

The film was very different from the first and focused on the Fremen and Harkonnens instead of the rise and fall of House Atredies. The film had a lot more action than in the first. It followed a different route than other action heavy sci-fi films where the action contributed to the plot significantly. I was on the edge of my seat and blown away the whole time.

Overall: 10/10 Amazing Movie
