ITS SHITE BEING SCOTTISH
First time watching (please don’t shoot me) was absolutely UNREAL
One of the best films ever made.
Boyle doesn’t shy away from the uncomfortable, he instead focuses on it. The dead baby was just heartbreaking and absolutely disgusting, emphasising the lives lived by the characters.
Amazing visual metaphors throughout
Brian Tirana DOP, is an amazing cinematographer, visually the film is so so good. Loved the 90 degree tilted camera for one of the last shots.
Music… blondie, David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Joy division and of course… “Underworld” - born Slippy KEEMONNN
Might actually be up there as one of my favourite films of all time.
]]>“Sea bird sea bird fly home”
That is all.
]]>Back again.
Again, love the cinematic. Cinematographer Josée Deshaies absolutely made this movie for me. Want to know what camera and lenses they used cause it’s beautiful.
HOWEVER. The plot is… something. I actually enjoyed it more this time than last. I do think it lacked a greater ending, I think he should get hit by a bus or car lol.
Anyways, watch it and see graphic gay sex.

]]>Fantastic looking film, the quality and cinematography still holds its place today.
The black and white doesn’t in anyway take you away from the plot and it gives you just enough ownership as a viewer, to make your own assumptions.
1.5 starts. I’m harsh. I know.
(I’m not a massive horror fan, so… pinch of salt)
The film just felt like it was grabbing at straws throughout. Granted, I did go into it only watching half the trailer and thinking it was some sort of feminist film about a woman hunting the night stalker. (Which… at a push… you could say is true)
However, the film was excessively gory and had nudity for pretty much no reason except the shock factor. If you are a Tarantino fan, you’ll love it. But, if you’re like me… you won’t like it at all.
(Also don’t get me started on the night stalker bit… that felt like it was pulled out of the directors ass while he was on set it was so rushed)
]]>Don’t know how I feel about it I can’t lie…
Ball POV was just fucking weirddddd
]]>Some people will say I’m harsh. I would agree.
This movie has some amazing acting and blocking and camera work.
However, I felt like it was just too out there. It was too stylised. Too experimental. Too A24, and I’m a big A24 fan.

Fantastic watch!
Slightly slow start, was curious what would actually change within the third act. Then it came. Impressive to say the least
Good end

Beautifully shot.
Absolutely love how it was shot
But plot… just wasn’t it for me.
Very graphic sexual content (which was expected) but upon first watch, just felt like it was used to try cover lack of plot.
Plot kinda just went: Tomas is a prick and uses people. He doesn’t know what he wants and looses those who are close to him, including his unborn son.
That’s basically it.
Need to watch again and read some articles to see if I’m missing a much deeper meaning (which I hope I am)
Sam.
]]>What an amazing film. Genuinely WOW.
]]>Was far too over hyped
Sorry lads
]]>Didn’t have very high expectations, but it was fucking amazing!
]]>That last gun shot made me SHIT MYSELF
]]>Cried like an actual baby watching this.
I fucking love my dad.
]]>Not my cup of tea
Missed the opening, but nah… really wasn’t my cup of tea… couldn’t get into it…
Sorry guys
]]>2nd time watching, realised a couple more things
Let’s tear out again.
Couple shots hit more powerfully this time. Still very solid.
]]>Ngl, I saw this back in September with Julia my ex, I was fucking shattered that day and fell asleep during it. But I’ve been thinking about it the last couple days and wanna see it again.
]]>Very experimental, Really liked Mescal’s accent
